Top 3 guys are debatable with LeBron = LeBron, Love > Bosh, Wade > Kyrie. But the rest of this roster is much better and deeper than those Heat teams. Waiters, Marion, and Varejao alone are better than anyone else the Heat had.

Everyone realize Bosh's last year in Toronto he was a 24 point 10 rebound a game guy? 59% true shooting, 25 PER. Like, I'm not sure why people have this idea that Love is so clearly better than Bosh was. Bosh was really, really good.

Love beats bosh because we get him in his prime and he can already shoot the three along with... his effort down low. Now I see it this way, we accept the fact we have our own and I mean OWN big three while you all argue over small details. While I love this message board for this we should be happy just to see us in the finals again. Because we all know that is where we are heading/

I'd say Love is a better fit than Bosh. 3 point shooting, rebounding, and outlet passing are the notable advantages.

But I agree. Love isn't that much better than Bosh in Toronto, but Bosh in Miami kind of sucked because of his role. If we had Bosh/Varejao, I would be equally excited as I am for Love/Varejao.

You should be comparing Waiters, not Irving. Irving > Cole or Irving > Chalmers. That is the correct comparison.

I think Andy and Dion push our 5 over any Miami 5 of the last 4 years. I know we all know about Andy but to me it's crazy other teams fans' and the media neglect him. 14 and 14 healthy is amazing and exactly what Andy got the last time he was healthy. And we didn't run one play to him either.

The NBA better pray Andy can't finish the season because if you tell me right now Andy will last 82 games I have no reason not to pick us for the finals

Bosh was very good, but gradually began altering his game which had previously allowed him to collect such great numbers. Now, of course, Love's numbers certainly won't hit 26 and 12 unless Kyrie and LeBron decide to make him the #1 scoring option, which is unlikely, but the one thing I believe Love has to his advantage is that he doesn't have to alter the type of player he is to mesh with the rest of the team, especially LeBron.

Bosh has also never been the type of rebounder Love currently is. That's not to say Bosh wasn't a quality rebounder earlier in his career, but it just wasn't at the level where Love is currently.

Is Love clearly better than Bosh was then? No, not clearly, but if health is on Love's side, I'll give the advantage to him.

The only one who wont have to change his game is Lebron, he is already used to being the alpha of a big 3 on a contender.

Now Love's game should be great for what the cavs need, but andy and Lebron are better rebounders for their position than Love is used to having, which will cut into his numbers. Further, Love is used to getting more shots than he will get as part of this team, but that too who he will adjust too.

I would expect his numbers to drop like Bosh's or Garnet's numbers dropped because of usage. That being said, this is a good problem to have.

Would have been hard to believe 6 months ago that our team shop would be selling this in August

This is how I feel too.

I don't think Love is necessarily better than Toronto Bosh, but I definitely believe that he is a better complement than him. When I would catch Miami games during the playoffs, Bosh seemed to simply not have the skillset necessary to work in that offense. This last season, his 3 point attempts skyrocketed (from 0.4 attempts per game in his career to 2.8 attempts per game), despite the fact that the was a 28.8% career shooter from three. What was Spoelstra thinking?

Love can shoot the three. He rebounds at an elite rate. I really do think he's a better fit than Bosh. I'm not saying I think he's better than Bosh, just more "compatible".

Wade is a very efficient shooter, but he too lacked the ability to shoot the 3 consistently (28.9% career). This is where I think Blatt is going to have a ton of flexibility in terms of extreme floor spacing, because Love, LeBron and Irving are all legitimate three point threats.
