Nice article by Chris.

I firmly believe Kevin Love is going to be a main reason we win the Championship this year.

Great article. Good to find a journalist who covers sport instead of a "sport journalist". I don't get the whole use of "we" though

Love has done a great job this year and the advanced stats really seem to back it up

I don't know what happened to this thread (well, it happens all the time, so I do), but here's some stats to make people happy again (maybe).

Love has made more 3 pointers in his career than Michael Jordan did in his.

Jordan was 581/1778 for 32.7%
Love is 584/1607 for 36.7%

I saw Jalen make that comment too and just don't get it. Rondo hasn't been good in years and is sucking it big time in Dallas. Is that, plus a Kobe who is the biggest asshole in the world, can't stay on the court, and is only so-so when he is enough to sway Kevin Love? He very well may not re-up in CLE, but going LAL just seems incredibly far fetched.

I'm of the opinion that Love has had a tough season, but that at the end of the day the Cavs will at least get to game 7 of the second round and Love will see how sticking with this teamgoing forward is the path to being a champion. Why leave? He seems to be enjoying his team mates, he's winning, he's gonna get paid. Unless he just can't fucking take the weather anymore, which is possible, I can't handle it, whats the reason to take off?

Jalen Rose is fun to listen to, but I realized a long time ago all he has are opinions, not a lot of facts.

Fun? I want to throw him out of a building every time I hear him talk.

I wouldn't go that far, but yeah, I guess it's closer to that. I kind of liken him to Simmons. I don't take a lot of what he says seriously as basketball analysis. Wasn't he the guy that stated LBJ and Bosh would be Knicks as if it were fact back in the day?

I don't know. I just remember one day him singing on set, and thinking my goodness watching ESPN is water torture.

I actually find Simmons funny and enjoyable, even if he is a pompous ass.

You can put that right there with Jalen thinking Cleveland is on Lake Michigan. What a totally embarrassing mistake to have made a comment like that on a podcast. Obviously, factual knowledge isn't necessarily one of his strong suits.

Especially for a guy who is from Detroit.

It's not hard to figure out where Jalen is getting his "information".

A lot of the Heat folks have been talking about it all year (axe to grind?) and one of the most vocal has been Alonzo Mourning so I wouldn't be shocked if that's coming to Jalen through Juwan Howard.

Love leaving makes little to no sense. He'll receive more publicity and attention with lebron than he would with a decrepit Kobe struggling to sniff the playoffs in the west. The Cavs can pay him more money than anyone. They'll be the title favorites found into next year for sure.

Obviously there's the draw of going home, but I highly doubt Love wants to play for a team that could be three years from competing. If he wants to chase individual statistical records then yeah, I could see him leaving to do that as well.

If anything, my guess is he signs a one year deal and reunites with Westbrook in LA or signs a massive deal with the Cavs in 2016

if Love's motive for leaving Cle is to chase stats and score more joining up with Kobe and Westbrook is counter productive.
