the plays they used to get love isolated with his man down low were great and absolute money for the offense. Definitely a part of the offense that needs to be implemented more especially with loves ability to pass the ball out of the post to an open shooter or slasher.

Seeing the game yesterday really made me reflect -- Kevin Love has NEVER been on a team where he wasn't by far the best offensive player on the floor. So finding the balance in asserting himself on a loaded team like this is very new. But with that said, we are going to lose something on offense if K-Love isn't the second option after Lebron. He has the capacity to be dominant offensively as a scorer, he has more weapons and more reliable weapons than Kyrie or certainly Dion, and he's also a good and willing passer so if you feed him the ball you aren't losing much if anything in terms of the other options on the court. That's not to say that he should get the second most touches -- Kyrie will be better at breaking down the defense -- but people should be looking to feed him a lot.

I noticed how Love did defer several times on shots he should have taken, and looked a bit lost out there on some offensive sets not knowing where to be.. this is all expected and understandable. He will, pretty quickly I'd bet, start to become more assertive and be that dominate player we traded for. Hell, he already IS dominate on the boards and those incredible outlet passes. The sky is the limit for him and this offense, it's so cool watching these first baby steps.

It will be Lebron and Kyrie job to make sure Love gets his touches in the offense. While Kyrie is a great offensive talent as a PG its his job to make sure Love gets his touches. Starting off the second half I noticed Dion and Kyrie looked for their shot early and were successful.

I'd like to see Love more on the wing and the elbow, that's where he was really successful with the Wolves.

Really happy that the trade for Love happened during the off-season instead of near the trade deadline.

They get build the foundation and work out the kinks now.

I can't believe I was actually pro-Wiggins when the rumors first started.

It'll be up to the coaching staff and to a smaller extent Irving and James to get Love shots.

But Love also has to be aggressive, especially with Waiters' hunger. Early on, you saw Waiters calling for the pass from Kyrie and when he did get the ball he was aggressive with it. I saw one possession where he looked down Love and took a shot.

That mentality is what we're gonna need Love to have because ideally, he would be the second option with Irving being the one breaking down defenses to distribute shots.

I think a lot of the guys are still figuring everything out, and as such they're passing a bit more than they normally would. I saw just about every player make a pass that they probably should have shot last night. It's something that will sort itself out as the guys get used to playing together and figuring out when to take their looks and when it's better to pass.

As Blatt said, guys being too unselfish is a good problem to have.

They clearly aren't used to playing with Kevin. Kobe Byrant said the Lakers had the same problem when Pau first got there. They all wondered who would eat first, with Pau, Kobe, Bynum, and Odom.

I saw a lot of that going on with the Cavs yesterday, it was no surprise guys like Thompson and Waiters seemed more assertive. Well, eventually Kyrie settled in. But Love and LeBron have never played with any of these guys.

When you see LB himself look a little unsure, then you know there's no problems. He like Kevin Love are adjusting to an entire new team. There will be hiccups probably for the first month in a half. But hit December, this team will be explosive.

I feel confident that if Love starts complaining about his touches (something I also feel like he would do..) Blatt will be the one to shut him up. :D

I don't feel that at all. Did you even watch yesterday's game? He seemed almost too passive...he seems to be trying to rebuild himself into a role player and play within the offense.

I'm curious to see if our big 3 rebounders can do what they did last night and grab every 50/50 rebound.

I was not expecting 3 double digit rebounding scores from them in limited minutes. In a team with this offensive power extra possessions are going to bury other teams. Rebounds were an area the Spurs dominated in the finals.

Of course it was against a small team, so we can't count on it every night, but seeing our 3 rebounders battling for every single one really overwhelmed the other team.

The TT off reb coupled with Love's def reb prowess seemed to work really well. I can't wait to see how it works against NBA teams.

I don't think Love will be as important for this team until the playoffs start. Then teams will have to pick their poison and Love will have 40 point nights. Like others have said, he's just figuring out where he'll get his shots. This is the most defense i've ever seen Love play in his whole career.
