It's a pretty common injury. As long as the surgery is done right he should be fine .

But the surgery could be butchered (see Braxton Miller) and he'll miss a ton of time.

Since is the Love thread, I'll ask it: He'll be ready for the beginning of next season, right? He's obviously out the rest of this postseason, and I'm guessing he'll have surgery. I don't know what his injury is compared to Shump's, but Love should be back for the start of next year, right?

I don't think we can know at this point. But if he is back even a month or two into the season that should still work fine.

In 2012, Bosh missed the entire Pacers series. He played 16 minutes. The Heat won. LeBron played out of his mind. Wade played great. But the Heat started Ronny Turiaf, Shane Battier, and had Joel Anthony play about 30, yes 30, minutes a game. They won that series.

Bosh missed practically the first 5 games against Boston. He played 14 minutes in Game 5. The Heat won that series.

The rest of the bench?

Mike Miller, Haslem(He was suspended for a game or so too), James Jones, Norris Cole, even Juwan Howard played.

We need Kyrie and LeBron to be monsters. The good news is that they can.

JR Smith is better than anyone else the Heat had that series. Shump is good. Moz is better than any other big the Heat had those games.
