Love's last games have been great, some of the best he's had as a Cav. That's EXACTLY what is expected from him.

His activity was very good. Bosh was always very very passive when playing with LeBron. Everybody criticised Spoelstra and the scheme, but Bosh did have a very poor attitude IMO.

Love gotta keep his aggressiveness and activity, specially when Kyrie comes back.

My girlfriend hates Kevin Love. A lot of people in my family who watch the Cavs aren't basketball savvy and they don't understand what's so special about this guy. If we threw KD on the Cavs, they'd see immediately how good he is compared to all the other players.

Maybe it's because Love isn't super athletic, doesn't do too many WOW things except the outlet passes.

If you are a fan of basketball, and you have followed every Cavs team LeBron has ever played on, you would realize that Kevin Love can be masterful at filling in the gaps. There's down periods in every game when Love will hit two threes, grab 3-4 big rebounds, act as a decoy, make some great hockey assists etc...

Love is a guy that isn't easily appreciated by casual fans.

To us RealCavsFans, we understand and follow the game. We have been dying for a player who can fill in those gaps and keep the Cavaliers firmly in the game. In our past, those would have been drought periods where we'd be scoreless; we'd be praying that Donyell Marshall could hit a 3, or that Drew Gooden could hit a couple mid-range jumpshots.

Kevin seems to always be the guy who consistently excels in those instances.

I think it's fairly obvious that KLove's struggles to finish at the rim this season are due to the facts that he doesn't fully trust his shoulder yet and he was not able to lift upper body for 6 months. This will improve over the course of the year. Time to put that argument to bed.

This is a great post and so eloquently put. Love is like a super role player in that respect, a lot like Pippen was on the Bulls. You don't depend on Pippen or Love to carry you like you would Jordan or Lebron, but they constantly effect the game and come up with big plays throughout the course of the game.

Kevin needs to stay healthy, get in game shape, and play better. For an offensive-oriented player, he was just 8th on the team in TS% last season, and he's 7th this season.

Making shots always impresses people ...

He's at 45.7 overall and 37.0 from 3 over the last 7 games, which is just about what his Minnesota shooting percentages were. Hopefully the slow start was due to rust and the recent KLove is the one we'll see more often than not.

Welcome to Cleveland Mr. Love!

(Also: being a star player on a good team requires so many levels of skill above those shown by a superstar player on a bad team.)

Kevin stepped up tonight when it was needed the most, when Orlando was up 10 and threatening to break our will tonight. On both ends of the court no less. That was a superstar performance... Such a fun thing to watch. I'm giddy to watch this team get better and better as the season wears on.

Extraordinary showing by Love tonight, but I'm perturbed by his almost total omission from the second half. Seriously, how does a guy go for 27 in one half only to wind up with 34 points? The thought process seems to be "okay, Love got his, now let's focus on others." BS, keep feeding him!
