I seriously don't get the narratives that surround the klove in cleveland. I mean, I get why, I just don't see how anyone can seriously believe them.
"He's going to bolt to the lakers!" ... Why in gods name would he do that? The lakers are terrible right now, and very well could be terrible for the next 2-3 years. They're not even his hometown team for god's sake! He lived in Oregon all his life!
Even if they do form a super team, love is kind of already on a super team, with the best player on the planet. IMO the whole, "Players want to play in a big market" thing is overblown these days. Players want to play on great teams. They'll live where they want during the off-season.
Then there's the whole "His body language is terrible, he's clearly unhappy" all these mfers who suddenly have PhD's in body language analysis popping out of the woodwork (I blame bill simmons). If they have ever seen him play before, that's just how he looks. He doesn't look unhappy, he looks like kevin love. Not to mention that everything he has said, since the day he signed on, has been how he understands it will take time, how it's all about winning. Jesus.
And maybe my personal favorite "He needs to be more aggressive, he needs to attack more" HE'S A STRETCH 4 WITH KYRIE IRVING AND LEBRON JAMES, HE'S STRETCHING THE FLOOR. The cavs lead the league in isolation points right now right? maybe not the ideal situation, but did anybody ever stop and think that might be because there's one less defender in the paint every-time love is on the floor?
Anybody ever stop to consider that kevin love is in all of the cavs most successful line-ups? Every single one? He's playing his part, and as time goes on his part will get more integrated and the cavs will become absolutely terrifying on offense. But apparently love should run in front of the LeBron and demand the ball. Who cares if LeBron james driving with kevin love stretching is literally one of the best plays in basketball, Klove should be more aggressive.
I guess that's national media attention for you. Got to keep the people entertained with anything other than good basketball analysis.
