Finnan looks perfectly presentable, and the Cavs a/v staff can't even find a microphone that works.......

I don't know, wuck. I think there's a reason why the camera only showed Finnan from the waist up.

Love the way Kevin has spoken to how happy he is to be here. No pun intended either.

He is saying all of the right things and I applaud him for it. However I'm not going to kid myself into thinking he cares about Cleveland. He would have joined a team in north dakota with Lebron and Kyrie =p

Cavs had a very professional press conference and KLove fit right in with the suit and tie. Meanwhile, Wiggins, Bennett, Young and LaVine are introduced outside at the Minnesota State Fair in Finnan type clothes and Wiggins and Bennett later are shown sliding down a slide. Hope they get used to sliding until free agency.

So who is going to be the one that leaks out for the outlets? Naturally, we had no one with the capabilities of a Love on the team last season but I'm having a tough time remembering anyone even near the half court line after made baskets/misses underneath the rim. Our style is going to have to (and will) change, obviously. Semi related: Really looking forward to Kyrie not walking the ball up the court like he's playing chicken with the 8 second violation every possession.

I don't know. If only the Cavs had a guy who could finish at the rim. Can't believe they haven't addressed this need yet. Damnit Griffin, can't you do anything right? :chuckle:

Yeah seems about right to me. Hopefully Dion is happy with this..he better be.

Why would Dion be unhappy about it? I'm sure he knows that his empty stats have never contributed to the Cavs being a successful team. If he's not happy about not getting enough touches, then he can sits on the bench because i honestly think that Miller and Allen(If he sign) will equal the type of impact Dion would contribute anyway. I'm not worry about it. The guys will know whose team it is when training camp starts. They will all fall in line and play their roles on the team. If he really expecting to average 14 FGA again, then he's in for a rude awakening. The Cavs are no longer a lottery team and they're now instantly a title favorite, which means that LeBron won't put up with a guy who has a big ego and has no comparable significant impact as a contributor. Dion will find out who's running the show soon enough...

Yeah I agree but he is a young guy but as we all know things have changed. No longer is getting stats possible here it's about the bigger picture and that's contending for a title. I'm sure dion realises this. I'm sure he knows if he isn't he will sit.

With how fast paced this offense will be, how often this team will run, and high BBIQ guys all over (finding the open man & feeding the hot hand) there will be plenty of shots to go around. There'll be times when even Kyrie only puts up 5-10 shots a game.

Everyone will get a ton of one on one opportunities, spot up opportunities, and fast break opportunities, especially Dion, who will be one of the guards leaking out for those Love outlets.

Thought it was great when griffin thanked flip saunders for trading with the cavs (imagined an evil laugh afterwards) but way to win the press confrence. Kevin came across as a guy who will be a hub not a hole and willing to be one of the guys. This whole summer is very much a 2k offseason with trade override.

Griff wasreally clear its about a long window of contention, but also the width of the window. Man that window is wide open right now.

I'm super pumped for the ride

Bosh averaged 12 FGA last year compared Dion's 14 FGA. I don't even have to ask who contributed more for their respective teams. Bottom line, Waiters should average around 10 FGA next year. Reggie Jackson averaged 14 FGA as well, but he slightly had a better season than Dion and contributed more for his respective team. Dion is a talented player, but the Cavs can and will win games without him getting significant minutes and touches. The team will not be dependent on him to be a major contributor on the offensive end if Kyrie is healthy.

Cleveland hasn't celebrated a major pro sports championship in 50 years, since the Browns in 1964, and Waiters took a moment last week to imagine it: "You know how crazy that city would be, man, if we win a title? That's the main focus right now. I can't focus on Dion. I've got to focus on the team and what's best."

That quote says it all and should end any debate unless an actual issue pops up in season
