It seems wums are contagious. I'm off to fearthesword.

Haters don't get excited I'll be back. (When a cure is found for the nonsense in this thread)

My Irving Phantom Mix, slightly tweaked from the original version I posted 2 years ago...

RPM: Player's estimated on-court impact on team performance, measured in net point differential per 100 offensive and defensive possessions. RPM takes into account teammates, opponents and additional factors

Kyrie was 42nd ranked PG: http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/page/2/sort/RPM/position/1

AV was 4th ranked center: http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/RPM/position/9

Win Shares per 48
Kyrie .128
AV .144
Steph Curry .225

Right NOW Kyrie is NOT in Steph's league as a shooter.

TS%
Steph 61%
Kyrie 53.5%

eFG%
Steph 56.6%
Kyrie 48%

And yes, Kyrie is younger. But the main issue is his rookie year was better than his 2nd year and that was better than last year. And it is safe to say the talent around him was better last year than his rookie year, correct?

Steph has improved each year in the league--and with his improvement came more wins for his team.

All that said, I am sure playing with Lebron will help or so I hope it will. Time will tell. But a few fancy dribbling moves here and there does not scream "superstar talent" to me. I am going to be happy to be proven wrong.

Well safe to say I'm pretty heartbroken about the Andrew Wiggins news. Had my sights set on a decade of dominance.

But time to move on.

My question is, as lebron ages out, will Kyrie become the centerpiece of a championship contender? Could this be similar to the shaq-kobe scenario? Can Irving and Dion carry this thing when they are at their pinnacle in 6-7 years?

To add (can't edit from my phone) love will still be an excellent player at that point, but I am not counting on him being a primary option at that point. If he ages well, icing on the cake.

What do you think his chances at making the USA team? It is pretty stacked at the guard position. Someone good is going to be cut.

From the lineups that Coach K has been finishing all the sessions with (Kyrie-Curry-George-Durant-Davis) it looks like he will be starting.

Although apparently Rose has been playing really well, so that may change.

Rose may be the more talented player, but I think Kyrie's game fits a lot more seamlessly than rose's.

Rose absolutely needs the ball to be effective. And often, he needs a screen too. Kyrie on the other hand is a better isolation player than rose and can be a threat simply by standing in a corner with his thumb up his ass.

Kyrie can adapt to playing with talented scorers more easily than rose imo

Okay, that's good to know. It will be awesome if he starts.

Windy asking him some hardball questions today but he gave some good answers. On espn homepage...
