I guess before PG injury, there was no danger of KI getting hurt?

Not the point. Before Gorge there were almost no demands for KI removing himself from the team USA.

Why does it matter?

The more you play, the better the chances of injury. Isn't that all that matters? Kyrie once punched a pad and broke his hand. Isn't that all it takes? I'm pretty sure reality says it does...

So let's just limit his playing time in rwg season and no back to backs etc. One game and its enough. Even one minute. Don't you think him not being fit is way worse? He has no cronic issues.

Your argument is collapsing on itself to the point that you have no argument at all. "The more you play, the better the chances of injury"...so what do you propose? No practice in the summer time? No charity games in the summer time? No pickup games in the summer time? That's so dumb and ridiculous I kinda just feel like you're trolling.

Not only do these guys participate in USA Olympic practices, games, exhibitions etc. to represent their country but these guys are also playing to practice and hone their skills. Playing with the other stars of this league is a valuable experience for all involved. Everybody is getting better.

NBA players aren't going to suddenly back out of Olympic play just because of this PG incident. They, and everyone involved, knew all along that injury was a real risk. It is whenever they step foot on a court. It's a part of the game though and it's an accepted reality. Shit happens.

I love how this only became an issue after Paul George got hurt. As if people just realized after this injury that "Oh shit, these guys can get hurt playing for Team USA"...come on now...where were you when Kyrie first got invited to the Team USA minicamp in 2012?

The NBA season is much different because he is earning most of his money through that venue. So, yes, no playing with scrubs or stars who have something to prove in the offseason because he might get injured. Simple concept unless you want to end up like Indiana...

Here's my argument and I didn't read the rest of your post because it is simply illogical to do so: See Paul George.

argument/

Yes, because you can name me one other player who has had this type of injury from playing USA basketball

Listen, the PG incident was tragic, but it should be an honor to play on USA basketball. This was nothing more than a fluke and it should still be a desirable thing to play for your country. As a basketball fan > NBA > Cavs it is my opinion that if a player is worried about being injured they should not play basketball at all. NBA players get hurt in games all of the time.

But seriously, what happened to Paul George was a freak injury caused by a situation (the hoop stand being closer than it normally is) that would not have normally occurred as it is. The benefits of Kyrie being on that team far outweigh the likelihood of an injury like Paul George's.

Right, right...

Well then, now, since I have experienced the fact that there is no such thing as a freak accident... but yeah... go on... (Kevin Ware, such a freak)

Freak accidents! They occur broh's.... They occur all... the.. time...

It's not so freaky when you think about it... until you look at sports like the NFL.

Let's just let Kyrie be APART of history rather than an injury... That's all I have to say about that.

Moving on from Kneejerkapoolza.

Rose should get the one starting all-star game spot even if isn't at 100%. So who is going to grab the other guard spot and keep us from giving Irving more money?

No one. After winning ASG MVP last year and LeBron coming back (possibly Love) we're going to be on National T.V. more than any other team. He's almost a lock to get voted in.

Kyrie will get the other spot. D-Wade's days as the other starter are over.

Although I have to admit...I secretly hope someone else gets voted in over Kyrie. Anything that helps save our salary cap space will help us in the long run.

Guy, you're just crazy. Let's wrap our entire team in bubble wrap in the offseason.

Would something like this suffice?
