fein what i understand kyrie and Davis were key in spurring the run that broke the game open.

Chris Sheridan ‏<s>@</s>sheridanhoops <small class="time"> 1h </small> Anthony Davis is the MVP of this game. His energy in first 4 minutes of 4th has boosted lead to 15. Runner-up is Kyrie Irving.

Kyrie looked keyed in on defense. I'm incredibly excited to see how amazing Kyrie looks this year.

14 minutes 6 points. and sheridan names him game mvp runner up.

meanwhile NBA.com puts rose on their headline

Wow thought he had a better stat line than that. One of those times the old adage applies-box score does not tell the whole story.

That's a pretty damn good stat line for limited minutes in the setting he was playing in.

Those three steals in a row was epic. Nice full court press.

I watched and my lord, Kyrie was getting after it on D... He was hounding the other guard, all over them and wouldn't let them have any space. Kept his man in front of him most of the time, a couple times he got beat but that's expected when you're pressing up on the opposition the way Kyrie was. He was impressive besides his one ugly jump shot he took :chuckles:

Of course he did his thing on offense, breaking ankles, dropped a dime to Faried for an AND-1... Another cool thing to see was Kyrie getting absolutely pumped for his teammates when they did something good, even when he was on the bench. Some people called Kyrie a selfish chucker during the season, but he looks like the exact opposite right now.

So we can expect 15 pts/10 ast/8 stl per 36? I'll take that.

Seriously though, I don't really care about his offense. We know he can score.

I was focused on his defense, and I thought that was some of the best (the best?) defense I've seen him play. Was that just a product of only playing 14 minutes and being told to go all out? I don't know. But hopefully he'll bring something close to that in games this year.

He did foul too much though. Three fouls with five minutes left in second quarter. But I think that was also a product of being extra-aggressive.

Missed the game. But it's good to here kyrie had a good game.

He should be averaging more than 15pts.

He should be averaging more than 15pts.

If Kyrie were to average only 15 pts., but 10 assists, 0 turnovers, and 8 steals, he'd be first team all-nba.

Dude clearly burned a crapload of effort on the defensive end, and set up his teammates very well. Exactly what we needs to do this year.

I just think he's talented enough to average 20 pts 10 assist. 50/40/90 ;)

I can't wait to seem him play next season.
