You guys are leaving out probably Kyrie's most impressive skill: his ability in transition. You cannot stop him.

I swear to god, if there are 3 guys in front of him and he's moving at a head of steam, idk if i've ever seen him not finish.

His ability to cross over at a full sprint is so special.

I still chafe at the suggestion that Kyrie is the best point guard in Cavs history. Is everyone in here, like, TWELVE?

I don't care what you call his position, Kyrie is the 2nd best basketball player to ever play for the cavs.

I mean, sure - we agree that Mark Price, Brad Daugherty, Campy Russell, Mike Mitchell, Austin Carr, John Bagley, and Shawn Kemp are all tied for first...

he hasn't had the 2nd best career yet (he's still just 22), but he is the 2nd best basketball player after LeBron. Kyrie has MVP potential.

Speaking of MVP potential. Here's Kyrie's last eleven games compared to MVP 2010/2011 Derrick Rose and 2010/2011 Dwyne Wade [first season with LeBron]:

1/15-2/2 Kyrie Irving
25.8 PPG, 5.2 APG, 3.4 RPG, .523 FG%

But Kyrie's best stat in this streak is holding opposing point guards to 27% FG shooting!

2010/2011 Derrick Rose
25.0 PPG, 7.7 APG, 4.1 RPG, .445 FG%

2010/2011 Dwyane Wade
25.5 PPG, 4.6 APG, 6.4 RPG, .500 FG%

It's fun to watch even if those numbers aren't sustainable.

Look at your screen name! You're not objective! Kilgore is objective!

Why not?

He's a good 3-point shooter (hitting 39.5% from deep this season), he's got the fantastic midrange game we've mentioned (career 46% shooter from 10-16 ft, 45% on long 2's - that's near Dirk Nowitzki-levels), and he's always been an elite free throw shooter (career 85.6%).

The case can be made that Paul is also the best pull-up jump shooter in the NBA right now- he's the league leader in total points off pull-ups by a whopping 88 points over second-place Steph Curry (363). He's also deadly efficient on the shot- take a look at the list of eFG% leaders on pullups this year:

1. Kevin Durant - 55.2%
2. Steph Curry - 55.0%
3. Klay Thompson - 52.7%
4. Chris Paul - 51.2%
5. Kyrie Irving - 49.2%
6. James Harden - 48.6%

... still want to say CP3 isn't an elite shooter?

Oh wow. Tbh, I didn't know about his advanced shooting stats (was just going by the eye test). They certainly look fantastic.
While CP3 is at best mediocre as a 3 point shooter, his short- and midrange jumper seems to be a deadly weapon.

And .500 three point percentage

Kyrie is just turning into a superstar period whoever dont see it are blind or is just a hater plain and simple. What this kid is doing is unbelievable off and on the court we are lucky to have him.

Prime example of the absolute failure of the American public education system.:bigcry:

Well, I would say that Kyrie is lucky to have me as a fan. I do not give out my loyalties so cheaply...

It's called an opinion. Everyone isn't going to think and see things the way you do. No need to call people out for their opinion.

Probably, but Ron Harper looked like an all-timer his rookie season. Given the injury issues (which started his second season), his career's a huge "What If?".
