Honest question: How deeply do you believe the 'Can Kyrie perform on the big stage on account of the fact that he's yet to have played in a playoff game before' argument?

I'm not too sure if I've ever been on board - at least not where Kyrie is concerned. This kid can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants. I honestly feel that a playoff atmosphere would only enhance his impact and performance-level. Kyrie truly is elite on and off the court, and is on his way to becoming one of the most marketable an popular NBA players in the modern era (something I've believed since day 1).
Totally agree. There's been some debate about who people trust to have the ball at the end of close games, and for me it's Kyrie over Lebron right now. Hopefully LeBron dominates again in the playoffs (and really, how lucky are we to have two excellent choices like this??), but recently I feel like Kyrie is so clutch and will continue to be in the playoffs.

I'd much rather have Kyrie and LBJ running PNR's for the last shot or some kind of 2 man game than watching LBJ dribble the clock down and take a terrible shot from 20 ft.. Kyrie with the ball and LBJ moving without it would be ideal IMO.. also allows Love and Smith to spot up in the corners as well

I feel like Kyrie was born for the playoffs. People who raise that question either haven't watched him play or are manufacturing a talking point.

Love this kid but he took some dumbass shots while his teammates were wide open

Of course it didn't matter because we killed the grizzlies

In a close playoff game though, he needs to trust other people and improve his court vision. Contested shots should be a last choice, not a first.

I especially want to see him work some stuff w love while lebron sits. Shouldn't b the ISO kyrie show.

They should be tying kyrie to a chair, holding his eyes open and make him watch young cp3, tony Parker and isiah Thomas footage nonstop.

Kyrie is shooting 47% from the field with an eFG% of 53%. You take those numbers as a finisher and spare the guy some kind of A Clockwork Orange treatment.

This..

He's got a .582 TS% (w/ 22ppg), not since Jan 15 - for the entire season. That's equal to LeBron James (.582).

Kid is not a second option. He's option 1B/1A; meaning he and LeBron more or less take turns beating the shit out of the opposing teams..

I'd just like to give a shout out to Kyrie's Tom Cruise Running after he beat the shot clock on that Delly outlet pass. Best Tom Cruise Running impression since James Franco in The Interview.

Personally, I feel that Christian Bale's Patrick Bateman in American Psycho is the all-time top Cruise impression.

I was checking Cavs leaders on most categories and i just noticed that Irving is already 6th all-time on the 3pt made list. Thats amazing. He'll probably end up leading when he's done here.

One of the points often overlooked in the Kevin love debate is how much better kyrie I doing than expected. Kevin production would be more if kyrie wasn't doing such a fantastic job offensively

"The best thing LeBron has done since his return to Cleveland is show the world how good Kyrie Irving is."

I'm so proud of kyrie. He has slowly become the true leader of this team. Nevermind his insane talent, we would still be average if he didn't take charge and become the man

No. Lebron is still the true leader of this team and this is coming from someone who loves Kyrie. A lot of you guys still seem to hate Lebron for leaving. If Lebron isn't here, we're not contending. Simple as that. He's the one who has helped Kyrie take his game to another level this year, he's the one who's an MVP candidate, and he's the one who powered this team into a force after coming back from his 2 week rest.

Dude, I love lebron. He's in my top 20 or so to ever play, and I've watched him since he was in high school. That said, I think the team took it to another level when kyrie become the leader. It was a subtle but major shift. Honestly, I appauld lbj for taking a step back and doing what's best for the team.

Kyrie is a 23 year old who has never been to the playoffs in his life. Lebron is a 30 year old experienced veteran with 4 MVPs, 2 championships, and a good case for Top 3 of all time. Ask Kyrie who the leader is and he would tell you it's Lebron. Lebron is the guy who motivates and powers this team. Kyrie is a great Robin, but Lebron is the Batman.
