The point is, LeBron has virtually nothing to do with Kyrie being so good. Period. That's different from LeBron having nothing to do with our team being so good. Duh, of course LeBron does, it's LeBron James. I am stating, there's no way we can possibly be in position to win a title, if Kyrie wasn't so freaking good.

Every great player like LeBron needs another great player if he's going to win it all. Kyrie is great, he was always going to be a great player, no matter who he played with.

Luckily, he's finally in a good situation where he can shut up his critics, and show the world he can play at the highest of levels. Kyrie doesn't need anyone to validate what he can do on the floor. That's the bottom line.

Kyrie's an unknown, never played in a playoff game.

I think everyone's assumption is that regardless of how LeBron is doing, Kyrie is going to shoot at will. And he doesn't miss. LeBron does.
No its because of what everyone says. LeBron is good for 30 points in the postseason. You might be able to overcome that but allowing Kyrie to go off for 25-30 too is a sure loss. Teams expect LeBron to get his. They try hard to stop everyone else... You actually mentioned LBJ missing when Kyrie doesn't? LeBron has been to the playoffs, Kyrie hasn't. LeBron is obviously more dangerous. I for one have always said, it don't matter how bad everyone else is playing, as long as LeBron is having a good game you have a chance

Oh ok, my bad.

I think Kyrie is gonna go bananas in the playoffs. He loves the big moment. He wants the ball. He's tired of hearing about how good Steph Curry and Damian Lillard are. This shit is on.

I really believe that, too. Dude loves the bright lights shining on him and he's going to get it now he's in the playoffs.

So, let me get this straight. Are you saying that a Rich Man's Boobie Gibson is a top-5 PG and I was wrong for thinking otherwise 4 years ago?

No, your wrong for thinking that kyrie was that 4 years ago and 4 years ago he was better than that, but over half the starting pgs in the league are better than a rich mans boobie Gibson, not only just a top 5 pg [emoji6].

The argument though is would we be where we are if LeBron didn't come back?

Than answer should be a resounding no. We would be looking at another lottery year.

No LeBron=No Kevin Love.
No LeBron=No Motivated JR Smith.

I dont think godfather or anyone else really understands what Im saying so i think ill just drop it because it really is irrelevant at this point. The sole purpose was that the people bragging about defending Kyries during his step back year last season where he looked like he was going to just be another garbage man on a bad team should probably simmer down a bit. That was really the only point.

To be honest, Kryie played pretty shittily the first half of the season. Same old stat stuffing, kyrie-iso of years past. It was only after the removal of Dion and the additions of Shump, JR, Mozgod that kyrie started playing team ball, with team defense.

Its almost mind blowing that kyrie made that step from fringe 'all star' to bonafide franchise player almost overnight. And that night was the night they went bowling.

No one is disputing LeBron is the best player on this team, and we're in the position to possibly win a title mainly because of him. That's not all him though.

Don't ignore the fact this team was still under .500, with that same guy on the team, until we finally made a few trades. Sure, he wasn't healthy and not himself, but it's quite evident to point out it's not all been LeBron James.

Correction, Cavs were like 6-7 games over .500 right before Lebron sat. They went under when he was out resting but with Kyrie and Love playing.

Why ignore Simmons' own retraction, correction, and then open praise of Kyrie Irving? He went out of his way to write about Irving and say he was wrong. You were already told this twice with links.

Your agenda is obvious as fuck dude.

Delete but oops forgot Go Cavs more importantly go 216 and stay away from the Virgil Brown building boys ha.

A rich man's Daniel Gibson (responding to earlier posts) really isn't in the same ilk as Kyrie. While the shooting stroke is similar as well as the D, his offense comes just as equally as from the drive game.

I think a rich man's Daniel Gibson could be more like these former NBA guards:

Derek Fisher
BJ Armstrong
Steve Blake
Randy Foye
Eric Gordon
Raja Bell
Anthony Morrow

Meanwhile, I'm finding that these guys resemble Irving's games much more:
Stephen Curry
Damian Lillard

Guys who are similar, but have more volume shooting would be Harden and Arenas.

Keep in mind that Irving is only 22. I'm not sure he'll look on the same trajectory as any of these guys. But a richer Gibson isn't exactly all that accurate anymore...

I think the closest thing to a rich man's Daniel Gibson was Ben Gordon. Kyrie is leagues above what Ben Gordon was/is.
