LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So Lebron is purposely playing half speed to prove a point. That is a dangerous game to play no matter the intentions.

He's not. He's really having a hard time scoring, dribbling the ball, and setting up effective plays because he and his teammates are still trying to figure out where they want to get involved on the court and that will take time. I do think he's playing in passive mode by choice because he wants to get everyone involved and get the team going, but the problem is, everyone is playing like they're clueless on both ends of the court and there are guys who are trying to do way too much on the offensive end when they have to option to set up plays for their teammates.

His hairline is really receding now.
damn
He looks like Greg Oden in that interview. Also, I don't like the way he talks, he's putting 100% blame on others and except for his teaching lessons he has been underperforming aswell..

If Windy is feeding us BS I swear to god...

To those asking about LeBron's effort, D, etc:

My best guess is that yes, that's also part of his plan.. he's emulating the young guys' lack of effort defensively while at the same time, letting them do what they want offensively, to show them that, even with all the talent in the world, you're gonna flat out lose if you play like that.

Is it the best strategy? That remains to be seen. But at this point, I trust him & the vets in what they do to improve the team.

If this was pre-Miami LeBron, I wouldn't trust this strategy. However, he's now a proven winner & knows what it takes. If it were later in the season, I wouldn't trust the fact that it's even part of a strategy. However, it's early in the season & it makes a lot of sense that it's part of a strategy & not some sign that he's "lost it".

I don't think Lebron's right, physically.

Why not come out, bust your ass, dominate every single possession on both ends, average 32+ and then say "This is the effort you need. Every single night. Now let's go out and play like champions."

Sorry, not buying it. Would love to be proven wrong, though.

EDIT: MAYBE, rather than showing other guys how bad their habits are, Lebron is trying to drum up some artificial adversity to see how everyone handles it, so that they don't have to deal with it later on. I think that is more plausible.

EDIT #2: Fred uses the word "sense" in every single question he asks just about. Really pisses me off.

He's emulating a lack of d now? Yikes I think that is a dangerous game.

Everyone keeps saying LeBron knows how to win now etc. Isn't "just being talented is enough" his own flawed thinking? Did he not lose 2 of the four finals he had been to recently thinking his stacked team considered one of the most talented teams ever was going to be "easy"?

Everyone keeps saying LeBron has worked through his adversity and learned to win on a team, but I am not as convinced.

People say he learned within a team concept in Miami, but if I remember the finals I saw a Heat team try to iso against a really good team defense and get their ass handed to them while the other team played supreme team ball.

He did get his stats though.

I don't doubt anything he said last night about the habits of this listing team, but when I see him dribble in traffic and lose the ball or fail to get it to the open man I wonder if he sees his own failures in the same light. Hero ball Leiso and breaking of play's sure has had a strong effect on his career, so I guess he should know.

Jesus Christ, people. Before the season we had a LBJ Safari trying to get him to come home. Now, three games in, "the season is lost and it is his fault. If by some miracle we make the playoffs his losing attitude will cost us the finals. Hello 2-4, LBJ." I get criticizing LBJ's play the last three games. He has really hurt us. But I see no point to turn on LBJ and blame primarily him for our losses.

So you're convinced that LeBron doesn't know how to win, but i bet you think Dion and Kyrie do.

I think he realized that it wasn't going to be "easy" a long time ago, not just after this last Finals..

As far as the bolded goes, I think that just made LeBron realize even more that you need a team concept to win it all and you can't rely on hero ball or talent alone to win. Couple that with how this team has been the past 4 years, and it makes a lot of sense that he's gonna hammer this point home to these guys.

I get you and feel you.

I question how smart it is to let them keep playing the way they have been for 4 years in order to prove a point. They haven't learned from doing it this way so far. How are they going to now?

Supposedly LeBron is a genius who has mastered the system and is now pulling some reverse psychology on the young guns.

However I haven't seen him operate within the system to win any games yet. I have seen him play some hero ball and hit some tough shots against Chicago.

I think leading by example is more helpful, not playing hero ball which only a couple other players on the team are capable of.
