LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Whether you believe Love was nearly traded for Paul George, Kyrie was nearly traded to the Suns to get us Paul George, or even that LeBron was pushing for a trade to bring us Chris Paul...

This off season has been so bizarre that it's left us all searching for the truth of what happened. It's like a mystery that we won't ever get the real answer to.

Yeah, because Presti should care so much about a Lebron-George "superteam" in the West when Golden State lurks there.

The logical hoops you brain-loop through so we end up with Paul George are astounding. It's too bad the Ringling Bros. just closed up shop, you'd have made an ideal circus strategist.

Of course everyone knows about Golden State, duh. But if you're Presti would you rather deal with one superteam in your conference or two? With how injuries are a factor in pro sports it's a no-brainer(in two of the last three finals injuries were a major factor). And didn't you yourself say that Pritchard wanted George out of his conference? Why wouldn't that apply to Presti too?

He's in OKC right now and has gone on record saying that he'd strongly consider staying there depending on what they achieve as a team.

If you actually believe that's anything beyond lip service to the fans I got the brooklyn bridge to sell you.

Welp. Looks like this may indirectly be LeBron's fault and also his fault why we won't get a better deal for Kyrie...

Cavs could have got Bledsoe and Paul George for Kyrie if LeBron committed. Kyrie assumed LeBron was in on it, but the reality is it was a management deal. Kyrie was mad LeBron didn't vouch harder to keep Kyrie instead..

According to Broussard, but still...

For starters, Kawakami is full of shit. Two, the league already realizes how fucked up their product is by allowing Durant to go to Golden State. Any trade that sends a caliber of player like George to that team would be vetoed. And third, that has nothing to do with the previous poster's boneheaded assumption that Presti would be shaking in his boots over a hypothetical George-LeBron union in L.A.

If it came down to S&Ting George because he wanted to go to the Lakers, wouldn't it make sense for him to get a couple of young players from L.A. back for him?

Regardless, the Paul George murmurs need to be completely muffled. We had our chance with the guy, it almost came to fruition, but it fell through. Too bad. He's in OKC right now and has gone on record stating that he'd strongly consider staying there depending on what they achieve as a team. Beyond that he's made it clear that he views the Lakers as his ultimate destination.

Now can we get back on track here and discuss plausible scenarios where LeBron and the Cavs are concerned?

I think cavs must assume lbj is leaving after this year unless by some quasi miracle we win a title

The best trading partner out there is the celtics, best young players, most assets

trade irving and what ever other filler you need to get I. Thomas and tatum & crowder and I would be in... We are younger, more energtic right away. Thomas can replace some of irvings scoring. We already got Rose. Maybe add d.wade later and I think we got something that would still beat the celtics next year

Irving would fit in nice there....it is still a team with no "star", it is a marquee franchise, its in the east so easier road to the finals

Boston still has a ton of choices to trade the gap of crowder and tatum. I am sure we would have to throw in shump/frye or both to make numbers work but at least those two are viable reserves

need to think outside of next year. That trade makes us better and younger next year.....might make it harder to beat boston but I am not sure.

lastly, last year was the first year irving was virtually injury free....he is fragile to me

I feel like if you're an anti-Cleveland or anti-LeBron media person, you just drool anytime you hear the name LeBron because the guy rarely claps back. Outside of Charles Barkley, LeBron barely makes public statements but only sends out (not so) subtle tweets and instagrams... You can say literally anything you want about him and you won't get a real response from him 99.99% of the time.

Broussard is literally less credible than the Scene magazine guy, if that's possible. He probably read the damn post on this board before going on the show. Lol..

Woj has directly reported the Pacers offered George for Kyrie straight up and we, rightfully, said no.

The Cavs didn't want to trade Kyrie at all..before the request, he was our most important piece in keeping LeBron.

If I'm LeBron I'm leaving Ohio for California just to get away from Trump voters. Have to imagine that Kevin Durant was thinking the same thing when he made the jump to the Bay Area and I don't think he regrets that move for a second.

Some you that define your entire existence by politics must live sad lives indeed.

Lol.

KD leaving OKC had nothing to do with politics.

And LeBron is not going to leave Ohio because 52% of the state voted for Trump.

California has the highest number of hate groups as monitored by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Will say no more on it as this is not the thread or forum for ANYTHING political but you can be 100% sure Durants decision and LeBrons eventual decision will have nothing to do with politics

You mean the place where his home was vandalized with racial slurs?

But Durant signed with GS 4 months before the election..
