You realize Love is most likely training too but he just doesn't post it, right?

It's not impossible, with a few GM gymnastics

Trade Horford + Brown + BK pick for Davis.
Package Crowder, Smart, & Morris for a pick
Package Zizic & Guerschon for a 2nd rounder.
Dump their 3 min guys.
Larkin & Baynes are UFA so have cap holds. S&T them along with a 2018 1st for a 2nd rounder (dump move)

Projected cap is 103M

Cap Holds:
Thomas - $6,261,395
Hayward - $32,700,690
Davis - $25,434,263
Tatum - $6,700,800

$71,097,148 committed
Boom - they now have $32 M in cap space ...would Bron take a pay cut?

Sign Thomas over the cap to a max contract using his bird rights. Fill in the roster using draft picks, vet mins, and MLE's

Yes it's Boston and no one wants to see him in Green, but I'd rather see someone take down GS and see him have a chance to win multiple more chips (if not with Cleveland).

Bron is not taking a pay cut (hence when he made is clear max room for him in 2014...as an exec in the players union taking the max is important to him).

Plus......if NO trades Davis...they are NOT taking back Horford contract. Why the hell would they do that? That makes no sense.

Bron isn't going to Boston. I would literally bet anything.

Just a reminder if LeBron isn't willing to start thinking big picture and take a pay-cut then he isn't gonna beat Golden State again so long as Kevin Durant is taking less and less.

His prerogative but it should be the end of any whining about the roster. Impossible to put one together good enough while they have guys taking less than they should and all of our guys are getting every penny.

to me, it's way overstated considering that lebron routinely wins the award for player that other players want to play with

I think the part where people to disrespect/discredit him is combination of lebron being the first big player of the modern mass media era, jealousy of him being great and on national medias radar since he was 16 and modern fanboyism/haterism taking to new heights

he does it again

Lebron James is like one of those annoying litte teenagers that just started working out and is pumped up about every workout because he gets noobie gains, difference is Lebron is a grown ass 6'9 NBA superstar and the only reason his hashtags, over the top workout videos don't get ridiculed is because he is the king and his reign consists of fear.

There is no difference between Lebron and a stupid ass cocky teenager that takes a selfie of himself in the gym.. I say it's time to put his nigga in his place.

Blatt probably got fired because he condemned this behaviour.. or becaue he didn't.

I mean, at this point we're so far over the cap space even if LeBron didn't take a salary, we wouldn't be able to sign a good free agent. Now if we get rid of Shump, Frye, RJ and pay Tristan/JR what they actually deserve, then LeBron taking a paycut would make sense since we'd be under the cap.

LeBron taking a paycut would just be less money out of DG's pocket. Meaningless otherwise.

I think him forcing Gilbert to give his friends above market deals was the killer. I think LeBron thought we could win with that roster for the next 5 years. Nobody even fought with us for TT so him getting 82 million was horrible. He should've gotten 60 mil tops seeing that hes unplayable VS GS. JR Smith got a 1 year deal from Philly for around 16-18 mil but literally no one else was willing to give him more than 1 year. We not only gave him more than anybody would have ever given him, we gave him a 4 year contract. The Shumpert deal was great at the time he signed it, but dude has regressed so much that he makes that seem like a horrible contract as well. To be a 3 and D guy he cant shoot 3s or play D. Shumpert's presence is basically only forgiven because having him around allows us to see Teyanna Taylor's beautiful ass from time to time.

Are we still sticking to this line of thinking that LeBron forced the team to give JR and TT the contracts they did?

Seems to be blaming LeBron for something he had nothing to do with.

Well we know they weren't going to get paid what they did by any other team. That's a fact!

Lebron was pissed when micky arison let mike miller walk to save a couple million which some say partially sewed the discord in the event that he left. Clearly with TT being a Klutch guy and the urgency of LeBrons thoughts at the time made it imperative that his demands be resolved. The line of reasoning at the time was that those guys could not be replaced on the open market therefore we caved to their demands.

The original point still stands that if everyone on the roster wants max money then we are left with no other real capability to improve the team. So if LeBron would have taken less money Along with TT and JR not holding the team hostage we may have more options...However they did and we dont.
