LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This team is 1-8 without Lebron James, and 18-10 with him. One and eight! Let that sink in for a second. That would put us on pace to be one of the worst teams in the NBA without him playing. That includes multiple games where both Love and KI were playing, and I'm pretty sure David Blatt was coaching all of those games. And we now know that 18-10 record came with him playing through pain and playing injured most of the time, and averaging close to 40 MPG doing it.

I have no idea why there is so much bullshit criticism of Lebron on this board, except maybe that people are still pissed at him for leaving four years ago. Or maybe the general public dislike of Lebron for being too much of a prodigy at too young an age. Or the general problem he has had throughout his career of having excessive expectations put on him that he can never meet.

I hope we win tonight because I'm still waiting for some evidence that this team can be at all effective without LBJ. The excuses are wearing thin, people.

The unfortunate thing is that I don't think we will see the full vintage Lebron this year even when he returns, or maybe ever. Don't know if people saw his quote that he "would never get his motor back to 100 percent". (It is cited in this Joe Vardon piece -- http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2015/01/a_stubborn_lebron_james_listen.html ). But I found that pretty disturbing. That combined with the persistent and non-specific nature of his injuries has me thinking he has some fundamental issues that won't go away completely. But if we can get him at say 90 percent in the playoffs, and get the rest of the team playing up to potential we have a shot to come out of the East.

I think some of the Kyrie fans dislike him. They want Kyrie to lead the team and be the best player on the team, but in their hearts, they know Kyrie doesn't have the impact and smarts to make the team better. They thought LeBron was in Kyrie's way, but Kyrie has proven time and time again that he has no consistent impact other than getting buckets.

The sooner they come to their senses and realize that the team will only go as far as LeBron can take them, then maybe they'll appreciate what he brings to the team.

As crazy as it sounds the biggest thing LBJ can bring to this team is effort.. when he is in high gear this team is in high gear.. when he is slouching on D and jogging around not being aggressive this team seems to follow suit.. that's why I believe if he can bring it every game in the playoffs(which he should) then this team has a legit shot to do work... still the best starting 5 in the East IMO .. Moz and Shump are as about as good as we could have realistically hoped for to add to our big 3 to end this season

Agree 100%. Mike Miller recently said that right now he is seeing LeBron the most motivated he's ever seen him. That is high high praise coming from Miller who saw Game 6 vs Celtics LeBron. We shall see soon.

The amount of just absolutely idiotically stupid logic being thrown around in this thread, as it pertains to size and weight, is just ridiculous.

Comparing lbs per inch and the like is for people who literally have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.

As the body grows and lengthens, adding mass is increasingly difficult. the amount of effort it takes for a person who is 5'10" to put on "equivalent" weight is nowhere near that of someone a foot taller than him.

Don't believe me? Go talk to any physio out there. There is just not a 1v1 comparison for things like that. There are far too many other factors that go in to assessing size than just a thing like 8lbs per inch. To not acknowledge such makes you look pretty stupid.

Cavs without LeBron, Dion and Kyrie is still better than the current 76ers squad. Well, should have been.

The Sixers starting PG > The Cavs backup PG
The Sixers bigs > Cavs bigs

This was pre-Mozgov.
I mean the only thing the Cavs have going for them sans LeBron and Kyrie is Kevin Love and Mozgov (who isn't really an offensive player). The rest of the guys really feed off the LeBron/Kyrie combo, including Love.

Apparently the 5'10", 180lb guy vanishes into nothingness if he was 4' tall. 22*8 = 176 lbs lost when he scales down accord to the 8lbs per inch "theory".

I'm about ready to surrender all will and power to LeBron. I was hoping the team could show him some humility by not falling apart without him. Instead...well, we all know what happened.

Does Bron want to bailout Blatt? Any team with a pulse kills this team. I mean, Bronnie would have to give a Miami type of physical effort to win a NBA title this season. Maybe he has it in him. Maybe not.

To much talent to be this sucky.

You know, Lebron at the start of the year when he was tanking games saying the guys needed to learn from their "losing habits" and we were all frustrated. Well...he might have been right..

At this point I almost don't want Lebron to come back and save these guys. It's sort of pathetic TBH.

No way a team with Kyrie Irving + Kevin Love and good role players should be getting curb stomped so badly without LBJ. I mean damn.

Look at all the excellent ball movement without Lebron, Kyrie looks so unselfish out there now that he no longer has Lebron the ball stopper out there ;)

If LeBron decides to leave at the end of the season I for one am not going to hate on him.

I'm with Boozer. I'm honestly at the point that I'd rather LeBron just sit out another 10 and let these dudes fall flat on their asses.
