LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Really liking this re-energized, giving a shit LeBron as opposed to the "chill mode" LeBron we saw earlier in the season.

When he is on his game like he has been since he came back, there isn't a team in the league that can beat the Cavs. If LeBron keeps up this level of play into the postseason, I don't think any team is going to want a piece of this team at all.

I don't know why, but somehow all this winning has brought back memories of this. Maybe it's just that suddenly there's a good vibe around this team. I know it's kind of off-topic, still I just have to post it.

love the fact that lebron can save energy at end of the game and guard guys that stretch the floor like Morrow while the tough assignments like Durant go to Shump.

Crushing Charlotte and playing fewer minutes seemed to give LeBron a serious boost of energy today.

Looked like he started to tire down in the 3rd. Great job by Blatt getting him some rest before the 4th.

When Miami was making their runs to titles, they would rest James towards the end of the year and then bring him back right before the playoffs and play limited minutes. He would play 6 minutes, sit, come back at the 8 minute mark and play another 6-8 minutes and call it a game. In these games, he was aggressive as hell because he knew he wouldn't have as much time to get his stats.

I absolutely LOVE this rotation where James sits after 6 minutes (after 9 today) because he comes out aggressive as hell AND then shits on the other team's bench. Happened again today although he was shitting on Durant then. Kudos to Blatt and staff to go to this and kudos to James for accepting not playing the entire first in which he spent about 10 minutes dicking around.

That Mosgov/TT/Marion/James/Shumpert lineup is stifling on defense. If we had a real 3 and D threat rather than Marion, that would be a killer lineup. If TT could shoot, that lineup would destroy the league. IT FORCES James to be aggressive offensively.

This was a game that really made me believe we could contend. James was aggressive, but missed some bad shots and stopped the ball at times as did Kyrie. JR was wilding and missing. Mosgov was in foul trouble. And we STILL never looked back after that 37-23 second quarter. We beat up a very very good team on the boards. We defended. We played with energy. We never panicked after missing every damn shot in the first. We never panicked after they took the lead in the third and James on the bench. I'm somdamn excited.

This just brought me one of my favorite cavs moments

If the Cavs start ripping off a bunch of wins (something like 18-2 in 20, etc) and LeBron keeps playing like, well, LeBron, his name HAS to at least be brought back into the MVP debates.

He may still not win it, just because this will be a year where it wouldn't be asinine for voters to pick someone else, so they may take the opportunity..

but my point is, the man is the best player in the league, by far, still. He has not lost a step.

Seven straight games of 25+ points for LeBron since his return to the lineup, coinciding with an impressive 6-1 record from the Cavs. Overall LeBron's averaging a 30/7/6 on 51/34/68 splits over that stretch.

Safe to start putting him in MVP discussions again.

James is +89 in his games since he came back.

+3 against the Suns
+17 against the Lakers
+7 against the Clippers
+14 against Chicago
+12 against Utah
+31 against the Hornets
+5 against the Thunder

This video not only took me back, but also sent me forward.

Seeing that smooth fun and camraderie. Think about this team next year. Almost all the same guys back Truly being comfortable, knowing how to play bet off of each other. That much more familiar and comfortable with the coaching staff. That much deeper into Blatts playbook and also Blatt adjusting his plays to best suit the team he now has and talent he's familiar with..

Keep everyone here now.
Marion retires. Haywood is gone.
That's three roster spots to fill.
The resources to fill those spots are our 1st round pick, Haywoods contract in trade, and the taxpayer MLE.
Grab an athletic 3 and D SF, another PG, and a true length center who can block shots and defend behind Mozgov.

That would be the best roster this team has ever had. By far.

Kyrie, Shump, LeBron, Love, Mozgov

Delly, JR, 3 and D SF, Tristan, 4th big

3rd PG, Harris, Miller, Jones, Andy

Super star talent. Check
High level role players. Check
Depth. Check
Young talent still developing. Check
Vet leadership/LeBron's lieutenants still around. Check

Everything LeBron needs to cement his legacy and to deliver a championship to Cleveland will be in place for a solid length of time.

Thought LBJ played a really intelligent game today. We couldn't get open shots on the perimeter, and it was killing our FG%. He recognized that OKC's defensive strategy was to crowd the three point line and prevent open shots. That left him with one-on-one matchups at the top of the key, and with the other defenders playing the 3pt. line, help defense was slow. He just kept collapsing the middle of their defense to make 'em pay for shutting down our perimeter offense. When they eventually started sagging off a bit to help on his penetrations, it opened the three pointers back up.

Not usually happy when he goes one-on-one that much, but in this game, it was the smart basketball play..

Yes, they also recognized that OKC were switching everything, so they initiated the offese with either KI and Lebron PnR which left Bron against the much smaller Westbrook, or a 1-5 PnR which left him with a slow C.

As JVG said, if anyone was putting up the numbers LeBron has been for the entire season and not just the last seven games, no way in hell they wouldn't have been considered for MVP. But since its LeBron, people take it for granted. Like how it happened with MJ in 1992-93 and 1996-97.

Man, what an honour to watch this guy, even when he's not having his best shooting night he still manages to look near perfect!!

Total hypothetical here...

What if...

This whole thing with LBJ doing one year deals and his pushing for an immediate contender is so he can fulfill his goal of a title for Cleveland and then bolt for where he really wants to play? He did say he would be content with one title here.
