LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Every LeBron led team since our '08-'09 team has had at least one 10+ game win streak other than the '11-'12 Miami team that only played a strike shortened 66 games.

2008-2009: 13 wins in a row
2009-2010: 13 wins in a row
2010-2011: 12 wins in a row
2011-2012: 9 wins in a row
2012-2013: 27 wins in a row
2013-2014: 10 wins in a row
2014-2015: 10 wins in a row and counting

Casually throws in another 35 5 5 + game... If he keeps this up its a travesty if he isn't MVP.

He is going to run into the issue where they feel guilty and just spread it around, but legit he should have 7 or 8 mvps by the time he retires.

Well his PER for January has been his typical 29.8 which would be second behind Anthony Davis so he's on his way. His advanced metrics are hurt by TO's: he's racking them up now that he's essentially our PG*. Personally don't really care but if he gets those under control he'd be on his way to another ungodly statistical season.

*This is getting remarkably little recognition IMO by national pundits and even RCF. How many players can in the history of the NBA can switch from being arguably the best PF in the game one year to arguably the best PG in the game in the next year. Magic and Lebron (maybe Bird): can't think of anybody else

We would have to finish with a top 2 seed. The Warriors would have to collapse in the west.

Its going to be tough this year because of the narrative for Steph Curry.

Its too bad LeBron/team started off so poorly this year.
James has a pretty strong narrative.team it's arguably the best with him and can't win without him.

I will put money on two seed as well

LeBron had 16 points in the 4th quarter.

Wiggins had 2 points in the 4th quarter.

It was almost like he suckered the rookie in and then just lowered the boom in crunch time.

MVP.

In fairness to Wiggins, Lebron can "school" any player in the league IF he is hitting his outside shot. That's his weakness and if it is falling, it's lights out to any opponent. You HAVE to play him to drive the ball, because he is awesome at that.

In the 4th he hit from the outside. Wiggins was screwed. As any defender would be.

By the way, to add, it's funny that when Lebron is in "chill mode" and they win, no one minds.

Seriously, he should just shut up about chill mode.
But he does it, and so do all kinds of superstars. No one goes pedal to the metal for 4 quarters - they would be stupid to do that. There's nothing wrong with chill mode.

I've seen Kobe do it many times. He plays ok until he is really needed. Then takes over. Call it chill mode, call it what you will.

Lebron picked it up during crunch time. As a superstar should.

I only partially agree with that. In fact, I observe that lately he's done less of that. They like to run that "weave" at the top of the key to get the switches and matchups they want. In effect, no one is point guard when they do that. And they do that a lot now.

I REALLY saw Lebron run the point more when Kyrie was sitting though. And, of course, if they can't get what they want in the offense, they often let Lebron ISO near the end of the shot clock.

From Fear the Sword:

"Speaking of great communication... during a pair of Gorgui Dieng free throws near the end of the first quarter, LeBron James was standing near the Wolves bench chatting with Flip Saunders. I have no idea how the conversation started, but I clearly heard how it ended: LeBron telling the Wolves coach, "Next time down, me and Tristan are running a side pick and roll. Just so you know." Tristan heard it, glanced over, and cackled from his spot along the lane. After Thompson rebounded Dieng's missed second free throw, the Cavs came down... and that's exactly what they did. It ended with LeBron reversing the ball to an open Iman Shumpert for a three."

I think the team will finish with the second seed. I think Lebron will win it since he didn't last year.

CLEVELAND CAVALIERS

LAST WEEK: 10
RECORD: 29-20 (4-0)
The sleeping giant has finally awoken. Cleveland has led the league in offensive rating (115.1) over its 10-game winning streak and is second only to Atlanta in net rating. The Cavs are 27-12 when LeBron James plays, which gives them a winning percentage (.692) that would rank fourth-best in the league on the year.

The NBA has set up a schedule where players have no choice but to have a 'chill mode' during the regular season. It's either that or sit a lot like the Spurs do. 82 games of playoff-level intensity would have you hospitalized by playoff time.

A lot of truth said here..

Where is that from, and what is their rating this week? You only put last week's rating in there.
