LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If you're there, you're not even going to hear his name called. :chuckles:

I would assume every intro noise record is going to be broken for that.

I might bring ear plugs anticipating the eruption of noise when they get to the last intro.

You won't even hear it on tv. The Q is gonna sound like a mid 70's Who concert decibel wise

I think over the past few years, LeBron has shifted from viewing Jordan as his idol and a guy to chase to focusing on writing his own story. He wants to win titles, yes, but it's obvious that he isn't trying to "beat" MJ anymore, he would rather create his own legacy on his own terms. His view of wearing 23 has altered, obviously, and I think there is a side of him that's a bit irritated that Michael has never fully embraced him as the type of player he really is.

Can't wait :)

Just reading that gave me shivers.

Hi everyone, just saying Hi.

(I'm drinking and happy that Lebron is back)

Glad he's not taking Earl Clark's number.

You're drinking now? You should have been here the last 4 years.

I was born in Warren, Ohio into a family of Cleveland sport fanatics. Hence why I drink, my Dad drinks, and my Dad's Dad drinks.

The difference between tonight and the last four years is, I'm drinking top shelf bourbon in happiness, not PBR in sadness.

Definitely happy about this. Fuck #6

#6 shall remain the first, middle, and last part of the Number of the Beast.

Number 23 is free of that taint.

On the one hand, I am glad he takes 23, because it says that 23 isn't sacred. And it's also a kind of FU to Pat Riley. And I'm always for FU's to Pat Riley.

On the other hand, I have no great love for Jordan, and I don't need to be reminded of him when I see it.

Totally agree, and I was thinking/hoping this for the past year or so as I started to really believe this was a possibility. As it turns out, I think by coming home to the Cavs, it makes things very clear. LeBron is not chasing Jordan anymore. He's building his own legacy. And honestly that is how it should have been from the start. I'm happy for him. I think he knows what he wants to do. If the Cavs win a title, or multiple titles (oh lawd), I mean...talk about a storybook ending. Couldn't write a better script.

This is all still kind of surreal to me.

You son of a gun. I remember the countless chats we've had over the years about how we thought he was coming back all along, and we'd get ripped to shreds over at WCG and TXB. Now who has the last laughs? It's been a long time coming but the celebrations we've been talking about for so long are about to materialize. We need to catch some games this year brotha.

I know I'm going to take some Heat for this, but I'll say it anyways.

You may see Lebron wearing #23 but at least on the offensive end, Kyrie Irving will be one playing the Jordan role at some point in the next 6-18 months.

Ironic considering Lebron's the best player of our generation.
