It was probably a knock off. The fakes these days are incredible, you can't really tell if they're fake. The tags that come on the fakes are the same as you would find on licensed clothes. The jerseys I've seen even have the hologram NBA logo. And they're cheap around $20-$30. Not saying I condone buying fakes, just that the Chinese are getting better.

my throwback Kyrie jersey is exactly this, hologram sticker, price tags, everything looks 100% legit. Aliexpress.com is the way to do it

Furthermore, I hope, if he does bring back the chalk toss, that the Cavaliers do something similar to that game against the Wizards on Christmas Day a few years ago. Give everyone confetti, so they can do the chalk toss with LeBron.

Most definitely. But if it's 99% identical including tags to the point where not even the most careful scrutinization can distinguish the difference (ala mine), I'm more than happy to pay half the price for the exact same thing.

Hell, when I buy fake FC Barcelona jerseys off amazon, they always look more real than the legitimate ones selling at my local licensed store. I find that astounding.
