Lebron Recruits Jawad

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
pip if you wanted to use your ban rifle i would be all for it

People who respect rappers (most rappers) are in tune with a moral ground of nothing.

Rappers talk about painful experiences yet back up their emotions with envy, greed and loyalty to ego.

These are the same people who think what LeBron did was honorable and "hard".

I listen to rap for its entertainment value, other than that, there is no value... of any kind.

Clearly, you know nothing of the culture or the wide diaspora of artists.

How does that have anything to do with anything?

People who respect rockstars (most rockstars) are in tune with a moral ground of nothing.

Rockstars talk about painful experiences yet back up their emotions with drugs, groupies and loyalty to ego.

These are the same people who think what LeBron did was killer and "gnarly".

I listen to rock-and-roll for its entertainment value, other than that, there is no value... of any kind.

See what I did there? Completely off topic, but it's very easy to skew this to any type of music.

LeQuit is just looking for a-wad of something.

Based on what? My opinion? I specified my opinion based on living within that culture.

What? The culture you watched on BET?

Your best bet is to walk away from this thread and forget you ever posted. This is a fight you're not going to win.

:chuckles:

I think it's funny you say these bad things about rap and yet you still listen to it.

This thread has ADD like a Delonte........see what I did there?

Durant and the CBA and now some strange out of the blue ramblings about rap culture?

One of my closest friends in NYC is a producer, DJ Black Panther(ya'll should check him out), funny thing, he has zero respect for Lebron for selling out, because he is all about real loyalty, he just put out Nine's most recent albums out of respect and loyalty... He knows his roots and will never forget them... Maybe next time you want to make a statement like this check in with people that are in touch within the industry that you are trying to slam...

Don't think that me and Jon are done with the CBA/Durant argument yet. It could take weeks before we find other people to argue with :chuckles:

Well that's life. Winning is merely a temporary state. Money doesn't make you a winner. Ego certainly doesn't make you a better man.

I was merely relaying an opinion. Funny you think I live in Greenwich, CT. It's this whole LeBron fiasco that only fuels the truth of what I'm actually talking about. It's not just Hip Hop culture, it's anything or anybody who perceives money and intangibles (championships and billionaires) as a passage of success in life.

This couldn't be further from the truth. In Cleveland, most of our population consist of blue collared workers who use sports as a way to represent themselves and the hard work they put in everyday in order to make ends meet with the hope that we can someday be recognized for what we accomplish on a daily basis. We don't brag about our money, we don't hope to become billionaires, we just want fulfillment through hard work and family.

Popular opinion has no effect on me, neither does winning or losing. I enjoy basketball because I love the game and how its played, I've played it all my life. LeBron represented something bigger than the game here in Cleveland ( he even had a movie with that title) yet he completely blew that perception away.

It's moments like these I can reflect and see just how MOST of our culture is skewed in a way that makes Kings out of mere jackasses.

So whether or not I win is not an issue nor should it be to you.

edit: and I didn't say all rap culture, I said most.

You obviously have no clue about real rap culture... So please stop trying to act like you do.... Son you don't have a clue about this industry, so stop trying...
Funny you want to chastise these artists but have never had interactions with any artists in this industry...

If all you're basing your idea of rap culture as that which you see portrayed on BET, then by all means you're correct.

But since there's is a much larger and more diverse hip hop culture that you are completely unaccustomed to, then by all means, kindly fuck off.

'U Mad' is hands down one of the dumbest internet sayings of all time....

It's just ghey as all hell.....Way gheyer than the infamous 'real talk'.....

No "gheyer" than a Yankee fan with a LeBron avatar wearing a Heat jersey who proclaims himself a "life-long" Kobe fan...

That has "confused" written all over it :)

I'm not speaking on the industry, I'm speaking on the product.
