Lebron Recruits Jawad

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Talk to me about Durant when he's truly tempted and tested.

I get your point....but the guy saw all these superstars test the market, keeping their options open and flirting with different markets. Did he see that and say " I want my shot at that?". Nope, instead he signed an extension.

It's as clear as day he hated Cleveland and the organization. It had nothing to do with the roster.

Home is where the heart is. But Lebron has no heart.

Don't have to dislike Durant. I like the guy too. I just dont want to root for OKC. Seattle did keep the colors and name like Browns fans, and there are plenty of fans there. Im sure if the Cavs were stolen in the early 2000s, there wouldnt have been the same reaction as the Browns either. Doesnt mean they dont have thousands of fans.

What about franchise history? Would Seattle get that back too if they had a new team?

The new CBA coming in means everyone and their dog were signing extensions; and Durant at best would have only been a RFA.

Let's see how he handles a choice where he has to give up $$$ or how he handles it later in his career if he feels the Thunder have peaked, can't go further, and teams with more stacked talent (Heat, Lakers, Knicks, whatever) are standing in his way?

They won 57 games and were still a very good team and considered in contention for a title though. No doubt history proves that Jordan put them over the top, but they still had tallent and some guy who was an ok coach.

In comparison, the Lakers the year that Magic was forced to retire only one 44 games and barely made the playoffs after making it to the finals the year before. Just saying that maybe Magic was more valuable to his team than Jordan was to his....just food for thought.

That is complete BS.

The 91-92 Lakers didnt have Kareem who was an enormous part of the Lakers success.

They also didnt have guys like Michael Cooper who was also an enormous part of their success.

A major reason why the 93-94 Bulls were so good is that the East was particularly dry that year.

The Magic had yet to become the powerhouse that they were from 94-96.

And the rest of the field beyond the Knicks and Pacers that year was really flat. The 93-94 Cavs were a shell of their former selves without Daugherty.

Whats fucked up about this is even beyond his lack of recruiting effort when he was in Cleveland is that if he likes the players here in Cleveland so much then why leave at all...

I know people say it is to win... But I don't buy it... He left for a potential championship is bull shit be cause he at least the same amount of potential to win here IMO...

#6 Left because he is not who he said he was 'the man' fuck being "The King" He was not capable of succeeding under the pressure of being 'the man'

This whole thing just has a bad stench....

look. he knew people werent coming to play in cleveland. HE didnt even want to play here. he really didnt OWE us anything. so what he was born here? yes, he said hed win us a ring but are you going to sacrifice your career to possibly when a ring when you can gaurauntee it in a flat out better city? with your friends? and allstar calibur players? especially when everyones in your fucking ear telling you your not as good as kobe because you have no rings?

and yea he probably doesnt really give a shit, he played good basketball for us and gave us a franchise, almost a dynasty. seems like he might be proving a point, he can take it away too. you think hes going to be soft on us when were all telling him what a piece of shit he is?

ive gone through the whole process of acceptance, and its time for everyone else to do the same thign. hes going to get his rings. its necessary for him to be called the greatest ever. we need to get over homerism. its going to be his team in miami too. its always his team. hes easily better htan dwade, lets get out of this unrealistic mentality that hes going to be second fiddle. wait a couple seasons and wait til all of this talk dies off.

pleaes, tell me, who in their right mind would be slave to a terrible city with no pull on star players when they have the opportunity to make just as many fans and friends and live a better lifestyle in a nice place? its his career.

its apparently ok if windy leaves, or if z leaves, but we own lebron. come on. the decision was bullshit, terribly done. but we all know were not mad about that. were mad because it happened, it didnt go our way. lets not call something by another name and pretend its about something else.

I bet there are plenty of Cleveland natives who wouldn't appreciate such a comment. It isn't about where you live, it's about being loyal to those who have been loyal to you. Is that such a hard concept to grasp? Fine, leave if you want, it's a free country, but do it with a little bit of dignity, let the organization know in advance so they can build their roster knowing he's leaving, so the fans don't have to sit on the edge of their seat after months and months of carressing his ego so he can maybe stay in his hometown with his most loyal fanbase. That's not much to ask, but apparently, it was for him.

Ok I looked it up. I was right except I had the year wrong. Magic's last year was 90-91

In Magic's last year the lakers went to the finals (90-91). Without Kareem. Without Cooper. But they still had Magic. The next year, with the same starting line-up except Sedale Threatt was the starting pg, the Lakers only won 43 games.

Threatt's numbers were decent too. 15 pts, 7 asists and 3 rebs a game on 50% shooting and 32% from three.

My point still stands. You didnt check your facts before running your fingers. Magic was everything to that team. Oh, and btw, Magic didnt have Kareem his rookie year in in the finals when Magic had to start at center and the Lakers still won. Let me see Jordan start at center at any point in his career.

Settle down Jesse Jackson.

And stop talking "we" and "us" about the Cavs when you're clearly a #6 mouthpiece.

Also, brush up on that grammar and punctuation. Reading your post gave me a headache. Thanks.

Besides, since Lebron was getting paid he wouldnt have been a slave. He would be an indentured servant. Jesse wanted to use black slavery as an example, but a more accurate example would have been colonial America with the Brittish and German immigrant workers. But where is the fun in that analogy. :chuckles:

sorry you have issues reading, maybe a messageboard isnt your thing.

sorry you think being a fan is turning a blind eye to all logic and reason.

Nope. The Sonics' records count for the OKC franchise. Their media guide lists seasons going back to 1967-68. If Seattle got a new Sonics team, it would be like the second Washington Senators baseball team (now the Texas Rangers), which just got the name and colors but started new records.

Fuck you LeBitch. Listen Jawad isn't going to be a star, hell he may not play much at all, but fuck you for wanting to take our guys. You can have Z he deserves to ring chase, but Jawad no fucking way buddy.

Terrible post from top to bottom. It will not be his team. He is not clearly better than D-Wade.

I would challenge LeBron to take that Miami roster that Wade had last year and get it to 47 wins. That was the worst roster in the league. I'm not so sure LBJ could have done that. People who seriously think LBJ is going to go down there and be the man is living in fantasty land. He will be Wade's sidekick and that's just how it is. Wade's town. Wade's team. Wade has a ring.

No, we aren't pissed off and super angry because he left. I love that you assume it, even when you give examples as to why it isn't true. We aren't mad Z left because he did it the right way. Somehow you think we are just hypocrites when in fact, we are perfectly reasonable. Z left in a classy style. LBJ left in a terrible style. That is why we are mad.

The slave to a terrible city thing is laughable. No one is a slave to any city, and there are a lot of people who don't think Cleveland is terrible. You are projecting your opinion and stating it as pure fact.

Penny Hardaway thinking of returning to the Heat

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5386882

MIAMI -- Penny Hardaway insists that he's interesting in coming back to the NBA in general, and the Miami Heat in particular.

When trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh joined forces to play on the Heat, Hardaway -- who hasn't played in the NBA since 2007 with the Heat -- said he got the itch to return.

"I'm just throwing my name in the hat," Hardaway said on ESPN's Outside The Lines. "I'm just one to put my name out there and say, hey, I would love to be one of the guys to be on that team."

Hardaway last played in 2007 with the Heat. He played in 16 games that season, averaging 20 minutes and 3.8 points.

"I just really hope that they give me a great opportunity to come back down and show that I can do the things that I did a couple years ago," he said on Outside the Lines.

Thursday, on an online radio program he co-hosts, he said after the signings of James and Bosh, and Wade's return, "I felt like I could really be good in that system."

Balky knees helped force Hardaway into retirement, but he says he's feeling better, working out and playing five days a week. And he stressed to OTL that he's not talking about major minutes. Hardaway turns 39 this weekend.

"I felt like with a minimal role of what they're trying to fill, a very small piece in a big puzzle, it doesn't really matter your age," he said. "If you can have a good influence on the team, whether it be in the locker room or on the floor, I feel like I can do that, that's why I really want to go back because I really feel like I can help that team."

Hardaway played in the NBA Finals in 1995, when he teamed with Shaquille O'Neal on the Orlando Magic. He missed the entire 1997-98 season with a knee injury, but came back and was a four-time All-Star in the late 1990s.

Hardaway said he's texted Heat coach Erik Spoelstra and former teammate Alonzo Mourning, but admitted he hasn't talked to Heat president Pat Riley. But he did say he's serious about another comeback.

"I'm not trying to relive anything," he said. "... I keep myself in shape, I love the game of basketball and I really feel like it doesn't matter about your age."

This is just stupid now
