Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Unfair assessment. This isn't like a movie where people have 7th gear. We're missing 4 of our main guys. We weren't missing James Jones or Cunningham.

You ask yourself this, if GS loses Thompson, Green, and 2 more of their lackeys at the same time, would they get to 16-0?

Despite missing the 4 people, Didn't we take the lead in the 4th quarter ? Also if you do look at the players who did play, It is not like they are scrubs (Maybe Cunningham has a case cos he is a rookie who is unproven). We have enough skill and experience in the team to put this one to bed but we did not. The defense just gave up. That is what upsets me. We have what it takes to finish the job but we did not.

If we lost enough players that we did not even have a chance to win then you have a valid point. Last year's NBA finals was a great example of this, But this game is a clear indication that there is alot more work to be done.

  • Defense gave up because of fatigue.
  • Losing our defensive anchor didn't help.
  • We knew Mo has really bad D even the day before we signed him.
  • People like Dellavedova and Shumpert are sorely missed.
  • The rotation due to injury this game was crazy.

I don't agree with it but what choice do you have? The team really had limited options with too many factors against them. All you can do is be glad because all of this is happening in November.

Sure. I'll rant. How fuckin brittle is this team?

Gilbert needs to moneyhat Pheonix's trainers.

I can't really rant about injuries. It's like the Cavs are still paying the toll for such a shitty start last season and them having to exert extra energy just to get a 2 seed. Tristan seems like the only teflon player on the roster.

I really wanted this team to come in completely healthy and do what the Warriors are currently doing because I feel like when healthy they are very capable of that level of dominance.

Bruh we'll win like 15 regardless of the opponent every night if we're healthy. This is the basketball god's way of using sliders against us. Turn the Cavaliers' brittleness to 80 please.

Yeah I know. I'm just speaking about my own selfish expectations.

I was hoping this would be the time where Delly, TT, Love, and to a smaller extent Cunningham and LeBron could all evolve and grow some more.

They all have grown/altered their games. So that does benefit them in the long run.

Not going to happen. UFOs go there all the time. They Phil Coulson'd their players. If you could get UFOs in Ohio then we don't need them.

inb4 Ohio has the most astronauts in the country, we should have them get alien blood

Defense gave up a lot at the beginning of the 4th quarter coming off the rest after 3rd quarter so it cant be fatigue physically. Defense is a collective game - and if we are letting in open layups then there is something deeply wrong. Either someone messed up their assignment or we were out-coached for that play or we just gave up on a play. The first and the last options are mental.

And talking of rotation, The # of players we had available for rotation we have for this game is way more than the rotation we had when we faced golden state and we fought the warriors better with that weakened lineup.

I feel out fundamental difference comes in the fact that you feel the players we had on the court were not enough to beat the Raptors and that once we get our healthy players back. While I agree with you in the fact that we will be better once our injured players come back into the rotation, I feel the players we have were good enough to finish the job today and we did not.

Was actually at the game tonight. Not many chances to catch the Cavs in Toronto. Tried to go super early to maybe ask for a pic after their warmups but no go lol (you need premium seats to get in earlier). Attempt 1 to wear a St. Vincent St. Mary jersey and waving did not work.

Wanted the Cavs to win bad but they kept running the P&R against Mo and Love in the 4th and we got destroyed by fucking Biyombo. Smh. Lowry And 1's were also killer. Was so sick of watching Cunningham I timed my washroom breaks for when he subbed in. Felt if Delly played it would have been different.

At least Drake was giving out oversized sweaters as a giveaway I guess that was something...

Well here's the problem. The players that we had during the Finals were good defensively but couldn't buy a bucket even if their daughters and sons' life depended on it. LeBron was the only consistent guy available.

Now, for this game, the players are good enough offensively but never defensively. Can't guard their man and virtually no help defense. Our guards were torched to hell and our second best player is very average on D at best. What happens when said offensive players who are good enough can't make a shot or even buy a call? Of course the games go to toilet and not enough will to win will fix that.

I'm sure this isn't even a debate once GS tastes the same problem. When shit happens, shit really happens. Good thing we're still fine and not wallowing in a .500 record.

The Drake show was unbearable.

I forgot how bad musician press was. 10 minutes of play time to listen to Drake talk about how well X Vodka treats him, a play by play guy in Toronto asking"say, didn't I see you inLA recently? what were you recording your new album?"

The giveaways, the team wearing the uniform he designed.. him dropping Toronto slang to show how he loves his hood..

Burlesque shows are more prudence
