Little Bro In The Hospital

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm actually at home right now, I'm waiting here so my dad and I can go pickup his truck, it's still at the football field around the corner.

My parents are staying at Rainbow with my brother...

Injuries can happen at any time, in any sport, I don't believe in preventing your children from playing ever, IMO that's worse than getting injured. David's grades were always below average until he got into football, since he started they've never been better. He used to get in fights constantly, but he hasn't since he started playing. In high school it's a great way to meet people and get into a good college. You can get seriously injured doing a number of things. You just have to take necessary precautions and hope for the best.

I played football myself, and I wont let my son play until highschool, but one year early could just as easily happen to a 9th grader. Injuries are unfortently a part of sports. One thing I can tell you from experience is its a thin line from being over protecting to being too permisive. I also agree that having activities in a kids life gives them direction and keeps their grades up. It also teaches them about time management which is obviously invaluable later in life. I hope this doesnt make your parents nervous about letting him do sports, but giving it a rest until 9th grade year is not a bad thing.

Definitely agree, he'll be allowed to play next year, it's his main thing. He's in an awkward stage right now, he's gotten a lot taller in the last year or so, which I think was part of the reason he was injured...his body is growing a lot right now.

Like I said though the thoughts are much appreciated, it's definitely good news.

Good to hear it isn't serious. I'm still praying for the guy and I hope everything goes well.

Sorry to get to this late, bro... Really glad to see that things are turning for the best.. Here's hoping for a full recovery...

I'll drop him a line in his profile...

My thoughts are with your family, and I am happy to hear he will make a full recovery. Kids heal quickly, which is why the human race continues... let's face it, kids also do some crazy things. I had a student get hit by a car because he was into playing chicken. I had another student break several bones because he liked riding a shopping cart down steep hills. Within a few months, they were back to full health, but just a little wiser and contientious.

Good thing God takes breaks from listening to Slayer and occasionally listens to our concerns.

Glad to hear he should be up and rolling soon!!!

good news that he can be a normal kid and still do sports. glad to hear he'll be ok.

Congrats that he's alright, man. Stuff like that really sucks. Good to hear he's doing better.

That's great news that your bro's expected to make a full recovery. I felt a little sick all day after hearing about his injury...poor kid had to be scared to death. Can't wait to see the punk making horrible posts again here soon.

This board can be an emotional roller coaster at times...I actually felt a little happy for Pip today, even though I hate his guts.

I think a martini is in order.

thank god this kid is ok

sorry this is late but heres to a quick recovery....there is nothing worse than the helpless feeling of not being able to help a loved one

Thanks guys I really appreciate it...

Granted he's a bad poster...he's still a poster :chuckles:

Eventually he'll go through the evolution and become a Lance Allred caliber poster, right now he's still getting a feel for this whole thing, there for a while he'd create an account and I'd ban it...but I eventually caved and let him post.
