If you watch Deng on the Bulls vs on the Cavs it's not his style of play that has changed, it's his ability to get an open look or have his teammates respond to his movements on the floor rather than standing around.

Maybe he should've taken that 3 year $30 Million extension from the Bulls.

Granted there aren't a ton of unrestricted options at SF this summer so he may still get paid but this year has to be a nightmare scenario for him in retrospect.

I just don't understand his lack of professionalism, like wasn't that part of the hype that he was supposed to bring? He doesn't do anything but shoot contested midrange shots, whine about calls and act like it's the teams fault. I understand the coaching aspect and the difference between our system and chicago's but get ahold of your fucking senses and figure it out. Your getting paid 14.28 million, and I'll happily take his spot and the rest of his contract, and I won't say a word to the refs or whine about anything. Hell I'll get dunked on every game to make the money he does and I'll do it with a huge fucking smile on my face while I cash in that check. Just unbelievable that he doesn't care when it's his job to perform. If ur gonna take 14.28 million from our salary then act like a man and be a professional, do what ur told, and shut the fuck up about it.

This certainly is part of it, but you have just illustrated the problem with scapegoat thinking.

If players moved to open spots on the floor, would Deng's assists go up? Absolutely. The Bulls bigmen are exceptional at moving with their hands up, ready for a dump off from Deng. TT is abysmal at it.

But we are still talking about a 6'9 Nigerian who won't even try to dunk. He is getting by with backdoor cuts for layups and tturnaround midrange jumpers. That's some serious 40 year old YMCA game.

That ain't Mike Brown's fault.

When we got him, I was all for it. We were in the playoff hunt and needed veteran leadership.
What a disappointment. Now, we are clearly out of the hunt. Plus the "pro's pro" Deng seems to talk out of both sides of his mouth, depending who is listening. His Achilles might heel faster with a contender.
I'd rather play people that actually want to be here, even if less talented.
Hell, it might even help with Tank 3.0.

If we cut him today, he wouldn't be eligible to play in the playoffs. Also, even if he walks in FA this summer we can still facilitate a S&T and at least get something back in return from his new team.

I guess what I'm trying to say is...Terrible.
