Matthew Dellavedova

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not a huge fan of attacking the person. Write why you don't agree.
He can attack Dellavedova for not being a good PG, but what's the value of putting him down for too many rebounds? Nothing personal, but I just didn't get the OP's point.

It was a Dumb "Comment". Period.
Rebounding is about positioning and effort. You can read that as intelligence and hustle. Delly can't do a thing about his genes (barring HGH) but does what he can to be the best BB Player he can be. Two NBA starts and Peeps gotta hate?

Please. I'm not the only one that feels that way. The team is considering 98 year old Baron Davis who has no knees as a replacement for Dellavedova because he cannot properly provide the depth needed at PG.

No, Baron Davis has publicity agents and is using them for a second chance somewhere. There's a huge difference, and it lies in the source of the press releases. Baron last played decent perimeter defense when he was with Charlotte. Even with the Warriors his knee didn't allow him to defend one on one anymore.

So it's just a rumor?

TMZ broke the story, Baron Davis went to high school at a school for the performing arts with numerous Hollywood ties. You figure it out.

Anyone remember Scottie Pippin's triumphant 2007 comeback? Because this is as much in the realm of fantasy as that.

While Baron is only thirty-five, that last knee injury was catastrophic. Complete tear of the ACL and MCL, and partial tear of the patellar tendon. Even if that knee is structurally good-to-go, he would be as much of a minus, in different ways, as Delly is now. This is just an old player yearning for one last grasp at a championship.

Couldn't shoot a lick today, but he had 7 assists and 5 rebounds in 25 minutes. Played pretty good defense and had some nice lob oops to TT and Mozgov. Not bad.

I'm a big Delly critic, but you can't blame him for having bad advanced stats when he's playing the entire 4th quarter with a bunch of guys that can't outscore Boston's scrubs. If you look at his stats when he's on the floor with LeBron or Kyrie, I bet the numbers look a lot better. And if one of them isn't in the game, the stats don't really matter, as we've already put the game away.

He's a SG that's stuck playing backup PG out of necessity. We'd be better in garbage time with Jameer Nelson running point, but we're better every other part of the game with Delly + LeBron/Kyrie, and that's what's going to matter in the playoffs.

CLEVELAND - Matthew Dellavadova has the audacity to fit in during the Cavaliers blowout over the Boston Celtics. Read more in the cranky asshole blog tomorrow morning...

You're right.

Here are the stats:

M. Dellavedova | L. James: 421 minutes, +10 per 100 possessions

M. Dellavedova | I. Shumpert: 209 minutes, +9.8

M. Dellavedova | K. Irving: 365 minutes, +3.2

M. Dellavedova | KLove: 519 minutes, -1.0

Lineups:

Delly/Shump/LBJ/Love/TT: 17 minutes, +48.2 points per 100 possessions

Delly/Shump/LBJ/TT/Mosgov (Blatt's defensive lineup): 28 minutes, +48.1 per 100

Delly/Kyrie/LBJ/Love/TT: 52 minutes, +31.9 per 100

Delly/JR/LBJ/Love/TT: 16 minutes, +31.2 per 100

M. Dellavedova | L. James | K. Love | M. Miller | T. Thompson: 35 minutes, +.5 per 100

M. Dellavedova | J. Harris | B. Haywood | J. Jones | M. Miller: 16 minutes, -33.1 per 100

the good thing about those stats is the context of team performance.
