Australia's Matthew Dellavedova has become American sport's new villain as the Cleveland Cavaliers took a 3-0 lead in their NBA Eastern Conference Finals series against the Atlanta Hawks.

:chuckle:

New nicknames, "Dirty Delly", "Dirtydova" or just "Dirty". Sounds like a "chesters" nickname though.

I've never seen someone pull a guy to the ground then elbow him only to have the press blaming the guy who got elbowed. Something is wrong if the league doesn't rescind the technical on Delly. Horford really should be suspended too.

And I'm really concerned that the Hawks are going to come out and try to hurt one of our players in game 4.

Definitely not a "basketball play"

Wow. That Vine makes it look like the elbow may have connected with the neck of Delly. If so, Horford will be sitting out.

It also shows that Horford re-engages and drops the elbow at a point where there was no longer contact/entanglement between the two of them.

I hope Kyrie doesnt try and play. It could be open season on his knee.

It did connect w/ his elbow but no, Horford won't be suspended.

As others have said, I'm very worried the Hawks are going to try to cheap shot somebody in Game 4 which is why I don't want Kyrie playing. They've already set the narrative that if that happens that it will be a "rightous" retaliation and there will be even less fallout then Olynyk ripping Love arm out of his socket. I can see them going after Shump and I hope Blatt/Griff/Gilbert is on the phone right now w/ Silver making sure the reefs aren't going to let the next game devolve into a WWE match w/ one of the Cavs as the victim.

AC/DC needs to redo Dirty Deeds into "Dirty Delly Done Dirt Cheap" before Game 4.

There's been so much bogus Delly outrage manufactured now, I don't think the NBA would dare suspend Horford.

Absolutely.

This whole Delly situation is hilarious.

The whole Taj thing was gamesmanship-- no harm there after taking an elbow to the head. He deserved the tech but it was a sneaky little response to getting knocked to the floor. I loved it!

The Korver incident was just unlucky for Korver-- he gets hurt because he doesn't want to dive for a loose ball. You could say it's reckless but Delly's just playing hard and trying to keep possession of the ball, which is why he rolled over on him.

Call me a homer but I don't see anything intentional, malicious, dirty or anything like it regarding Delly in the Horford incident. The guy is literally getting rag-dolled to the floor and dragged over Carroll. What is he supposed to do? He didn't dive or roll, he literally fell after Horford let him out of the arm bar. Like are people that blind? Even if he weren't being dragged to the floor, I still don't see the issue here.

I love that Delly gives zero fucks about people thinking he's dirty. He's never gonna back down....

I wouldn't be shocked to see him get under their skin Tuesday to the point that if the Hawks are already down by a bunch, somebody loses their cool and takes a swing. Which of course makes me nervous because of the potential for our other guys to rush in and end up with suspensions for leaving the bench or getting involved.
