Matthew Dellavedova

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Dellavedova had a bad two or three minute stretch when he first entered the game, tried forcing passes and missed one or two defensive rotations. From that point on he was such an asset defensively Brown couldn't take him out.

Jimmer? Are you kidding? Obvious troll is obvious.

I don't troll...I'm going by stats and like I said stats don't lie. Don't see how you got trolling out of that.

The only stat... ONLY one... that supports this position is Jimmer's three point percentages. As a 22 year old rookie, Jimmer's 2 point percentages were woefully worse than Dellavedova at the same age. Jimmer's playing time has plummeted each of his three years as he lost his starting job, then his backup job, eventually becoming a deep bench three point specialist, then becoming unemployed. His defense has been the reason he is regarded a bust. He has gone through three different systems from coaches and succeeded in none. He was on the trade market as a salary dump for two seasons and no the would touch him. In a word, he blows.

NattyPButter, if you are into stats, check out the number of posts you have on the board and compare that denominator to the number of posts that said anything positive about a Cavaliers player. Mods do this all the time to detect trolls. That's one heck of a stat...

Jimmer just got cut from a young team on his rookie deal. Delly has been one of the best rookies in this draft. There is no comparison. At all. Delly isn't going to be cut. If there isn't room for him on the team in the future, I don't doubt he will be included in a deal and the team that gets him will be happy to have him. He is not a volume scorer like Jimmer true, but Jimmer isn't even that good at that.

Delly didn't guard Lowry the whole time you are trying to give him credit for something he didn't do. He defended OK but his shots going in did help late in the 4th qt. Regardless I'm not gonna go nuts after 1 good game because he had a lot of horrible ones even before team injuries. His +/- of -17 in the game shows how much scoring was going on from the other team while he was in the game and how little scoring was going on from the Cavs while he was in. Also stats don't lie Jimmer is a better player.

It's basketball... No one guards one person the whole game.
Jibberer !!!!

You know when I watch the highlights of a game I replay them to see what players away from the ball are doing - it's interesting to see the amount of effort and IQ used. I watch Delly and he *always* finds someone to block out, he's instantly playing when the ball is through the net, he's switched on the whole game. There are times when this is going to make a difference and it does motivate team mates ... and it will never show up on a stat sheet ... who wrestled with big baby davis ... would ferdette do this?

Am I the only one that sees Mark Wahlberg every time Delly comes in? I can just see him on the bench yelling, "I'm a peacock, coach. You gotta let me fly!"

What is our contract status with him? I don't see us letting him leave, and anyone who has seen him in person knows this team is better for his presence.

If he pushes his three ball to 40% from certain spots on the floor, he is Derek Fisher.

Delly is 4-24 on three pointers recently. When he has to shoot more his percentages fall. Hopefully waiters gets back soon.

Delly needed to be brought back earlier in that 3rd quarter.

I agree... but long view as a dude who watched him play for four years in college... Is it that crazy to think he can hit all alone threes at a 40% clip in a year or two? I think he can.
