Matthew Dellavedova

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This guy is a boss. He plays hard as fuck, and he can actually write in English, with coherent sentence structure.

His quote on visualization is golden, it's so true. He's hurt and he's thinking about everything possible that he can do rather than wasting time fuckin off.

If Waiters had Delly's attitude he'd be a fucking stud and everybody would be instantly off his case.

Dion looks confused as to why the white boy is getting minutes over him: read Delly's blog Dion; it's clear as day why the coaches and teammates trust having him out there, you can trust Delly because of his attitude!

Trust me, there's been plenty of players of Matthew Dellavadova's stature who have not lasted very long in the league. There isn't one thing special about him physically, and yet he's become a key player to our team.

Character is so important, and this guy is a prime example. Expedited his recovery, and he's trying to gain any inches he can while he's injured.

Delly was shaking off a little rust tonight, but I was very impressed with the control and ball movement he established with the second unit. The fact that he was able to control and move the offense lead to a number of easy baskets for Dion early on and created a lot of good floor spacing for a unit that hasn't necessarily excelled at that skill so far this season.

Expecting Delly to continue maintaining order in that second unit - I just feel comfortable when he's out on the floor that the ship won't sink. Very refreshing to have him back.

I expect delly to get most of his minutes with the starters.

playing kyrie with the 2nd unit is a huge part of the team's recent success.
I don't see that changing any time soon.

I think blatt will use delly first and formost to rest kyrie so he can play with the 2nd unit.

Love that Australian kid. He just being stability. I'm not sure how he does it. He is just a winner. I love his effect on Dion.

Totally disagree with Kyrie running the bench instead of delly. The first unit has Lebron and the second Delly. Kyrie is playing fantastic don't get me wrong, but I am more convinced than ever he isn't going to be a floor general anytime soon. Everyone on the bench looked better with Delly.

Totally agree. The bench tries much harder to get open when they play with Delly because he's not a shot creator, but he's a great team player. With Kyrie being so good in isolation, they probably feel they won't get the ball as often.

Unless I'm mistaken, I actually saw him direct LBJ where to move on one play last night. LBJ looked surprised, but he did it.

Funny thing is that he didn't even have a particularly good game last night. He made two bad passes in a row to Andy that ended up going the other way for two. But damn if he just didn't come back harder.

A huge part of his contribution is that he appears to understand and follow the offense better than anyone. His off-ball movement essentially forces other guys to move just so they don't bunch up. And if they don't know where to move, he tells them. His presence on the floor is going to help the other guys learn the offense more quickly, which will play huge dividends later.

I'd say signing Delly was probably Chris Grant's finest hour. He's already done more in his career than most undrafted free agents and really does look like he could be a career number 2 point guard.

Man people will remember the Defense / charge drawn but those 2 offensive rebounds were epic. He also made a really smart / fast decision not to shoot a wide open 3 when things were getting a little out of control moved it out and calmed things.

LeBron's comment on that Delly plays every second like its the last he'll ever play is a huge compliment, and a great description of his playing style.
