the team has its first injury as backup guard Matthew Dellavedova tweaked his knee Tuesday and could be out a little bit, though the team did not announce his injury.
Sucks if Delly ends up being out for a while. He's an important glue guy for the team right now.
Everyone who claims that Dellavedova is limited in the NBA because he lacks athleticism is correct. There's no arguing that. It's why he was undrafted. It's why he's beat the odds for every minute he plays. Why does he keep getting minutes? My guess is because he never gives up and keeps trying to do what the coach asks. Imagine where Kyrie and Dion would be if they had those traits?

.... On a team of stars and former champions, Dellavedova is the one who has quickly earned the trust of first-year coach David Blatt. While Blatt has struggled to find consistent minutes for more established veterans such as Shawn Marion and Mike Miller, he's had no trouble using Dellavedova, who played 18 minutes in the opener against the Knicks and played 30 minutes in Friday's win over the Chicago Bulls.
Dellavedova is in many ways the perfect complementary piece to the Cavs' Big Three. He is a chameleon who can fit with most any other player on the floor. He keeps the ball moving offensively. He's a gritty defender (something the Cavs sorely need right now) and he doesn't feel an overwhelming need to shoot. In 48 minutes, he has taken just six shots (four 3-pointers).
And it seems apparent that, at least right now, Blatt trusts Dellavedova more than Mike Miller, who played only three minutes in the opener and 12 in the overtime game against the Bulls. ...
