I bashed him a lot during regular season, he just wasn't playing well enough for a backup PG IMO. But actually this was more on Griffin than on him, because the guy never lacked effort.
But right now I'm astonished by the way he's playing. He's much better than in regular season.
Look at the number of assists he's having in this series. He's passing the ball really well, seems completely meshed with the rest of the team and is hitting occasionally big shots. He's actually showing more confidence than during regular season. I'm pleased to see he has a good ability to pass and find the open man.
There are some players who shrink at playoffs, there are players who grow. He looks like the 2nd type right now. If he keeps this up, backup PG could no longer be a priority for next season.
Well done Della, hope he keeps it up. It's been so big with all these injuries.
He is literally doing the same thing he did in the regular season in the playoffs. Nearly identical PPG, APG, PER, FG%, 3FG%, WS/48, ORtg and DRtg, and Assist to turnover ratio.
Same thing I said with Tristan, it is amazing how much more fans appreciate you when you do the same things when there is more on the line than a regular season win. Big reason why a few people in here said Delly is going to be awesome in the playoffs.
