Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I keep hearing we are picking him because of his work ethic and motor. But I remember the same comments about cool hand Luke, except that Luke could shoot. I worry that a gym rat pick can also turn into an injury laden bad contract. I hear good things, but when I watch tape, I see Barnes as clearly a better player. It's hard to judge MKG because he played on a stacked team. On the one hand he was giving up touches to other good players, but on the other he did not face the individual pressure others did because of thier lack of help.

1-8, UNC probably was more talent laden. Its possible that they have four guys go in the lotto, not to mention Hairston, McAdoo, and Bullock. North Carolina was just as stacked.

Yeah you have to attribute a lot of Kentucky's success to the defensive dominance of the Davis/MKG/Jones trio. That was probably the greatest defensive team in the history of college basketball. Offensively they relied on their height and athleticism and just pounded it inside. That doesn't work so much in the NBA game where those advantages are diminished so all three of those players will have to adapt to the NBA game.

I would have loved to have MKG, but I am fairly confident, that after his rookie contract is up, pending Kyrie resigns, MKG will be seriously thinking about making the move to Cleveland.
