It was that 3 that Melo elbowed in in the head on the way by. Refs somehow called him for a kickout, even though Melo hit him in the face with an elbow. Can't complain about the refs too much in that game, but they botched that call.

I didn't see an elbow. It looked like a palm to the face to me but Mike definitely looked out of sorts after taking that hit. This doesn't surprise me.

Looked like elbow/forearm to me, but I only watched it live + the replay that TNT showed, so you could be correct.

Ohh yeah, I do remember that. That was a freak play, Melo's hand hit MM in the face after he flew by on the contest.

Any news on how Mike is doing? Concussion recovery can take a while...

I think the Mike Miller situation is more about the team using the concussion protocol to make a statement about the officiating in that Knicks game than a real need for a lengthy recovery.

Please slide him into the starting 2 role and send Marion to the bench to back up LeBron. Marion has looked pretty bad the last few games, throwing up crazy shit at the rim. Mike would fit perfectly w/ the starters as long as he holds his own on defense.

Seriously. What is with Marion's shots lately?

My concern with slotting Miller on instead of Marion (even given Marion's apparent uselessness in every aspect of the offense and Miller's promising signs on defense when he's on the floor) is our overall team attention to the defensive aspect of the game. Marion really does provide that spark and energy on that side of the floor that Miller will not.

I suppose the argument comes down to what seems to be more valuable with that unit: A floor spacer and dead-eye shooter who may potentially regress our defense or a futile offensive option in a lineup with 3 likely go-to first options that is able to solidify the team on the defensive side of the floor.

I think you have to go defense first in this case considering the offensive talent that we trot out in our starting lineup. I really wish we could somehow snag Wilson Chandler as he's a good all around player and still only 27. He would be great for half court spacing and can guard multiple positions. I really hate to rely on Mike Miller or Marion in the starting lineup. I'm not sure it's what either of the two were envisioning when they signed on.

Yeah hopefully Miller can come out and sink some 3s in Love's absence.
