Lakers fans and Cavaliers fans uniting against LeBron?
Honestly Amherts, it's more then that...
I'm a small-time Attorney for a local bankruptcy firm here in Southern California, my daily job consists of dealing with people who are literally at the bottom, financially and morally. People who have suffered in an economy that is diminishing the dreams that people once had. Businesses that have failed, good intentions to purchase income properties that have all but diminished in value. Families broken up because the monetary value in their life superceded the moral code that they swore by when vowing for marriage. We have a 10% unemployment rate here and it's not getting any better.
For a place such as Cleveland and Ohio, going through the economic downfalls in it's current state, with the homeless population rising, a job market that is all but stale, a place that once thrived on it's pride and loyalty, took a hit that was beyond the resident's recognition, and something that people truly weren't prepared for (even if they knew in their hearts that he was leaving). You have an owner of a franchise who promised big things for Cleveland, rebuilding that franchise to re-build the infrastructures of a city in need of a helping hand. But the truth is, you guys are that helping hand, the residents are the guiding light and the glue that holds it all together.
For all of the mishaps that were made in the past, the future imo will once again be shining bright. The skies may contrinue to gloom, but remember, the sun isn't too far behind. Life does in fact go on, and even if it's going to take a rebuilding process to move forward, it's something that I truly believe will unite the residents of Cleveland and Ohio and bring this country together in ways that is needed in such a cruel world. Loyalty lies in the eyes of the beholder, from the moment you step out of your house, take your children to school, head to work, and bust your ass to make ends meat to feed your family. One man cannot and will not take that away from anybody. It is the beginning of a new trend and new dream for everyone who had to endure the pain of this, and I cannot and will not sit here and be partial about it because I root for another sports team, or because I once had ill will towards a player who played for that team. It's one thing to cheer for my guy, it's another to do it in spite of an entire community of people. The lives of our countrymen and women comes first and we will make sure that it stays that way, through thick and thin, through agony and defeat, through the dark days and the cold nights, to one day lift your spirits back to the top of the mountain, in anyway, shape or form, I promise you that.
