NBA 2k10 My Player

I am not really big on the my player features that have been around in football games for a few years now but I am really liking the 2k10 my player option this year. Has anyone else tried it out and have any feedback?

I created a 6'3 150lb PG named Omar Little (inspired by the wire). I went through the summer league and did not get selected to an NBA team. Instead I was sent to the D league where i played 6 games then became starter. I am 15-20 games in and averaging a B team rating, 14ppg, 8apg, 4rpg, 3spg and have not been called up to the pros. My guy is only rated a 44 but seems to be getting better pretty quickly.

Has anyone else played extensively on this play mode and if so have you made it to the NBA?

I am a face up 6"11, 270 pounds Center with an overall rating of 54. I am currently playing for Mavericks and It's just awesome having Jason Kidd throw you wicked passes.

I havent played in any teamup gaems yet, but the thing I read earlier about teamup and create player crews was that the points you earn from the games can be applied to your My Player career, though you dont get as much as the regular mode produces.

So whats up? Lets get a team together from RCF

Im a PG, who'd been getting like 20 assist per game. I just recreated my guy and went through the compound again and got drafted by the Knicks in the first round. (first time I got drafted that high)

What did you average to get drafted? I'm rated a 45 overall and willing to play combo pg/sg if anyone wants to get a team together.

If you want to get a call up/10-day contract, make sure you get A ratings when you play in the D-League.

I was in summer league with Houston, got invited to training camp by about 80% of the league(of which Houston was NOt included, lol). I accepted the Cavs' invite and after one D-league assignment I'm coming off the bench as the 12th man at the moment. think my rating is a 46 or 47, and I am an "all around" SG.

Same thing happened to me. I was the starting point guard for the 76rs and averaging 20-10 in 12 minutes of play with 3 steals , 0.3 blocks and 0.4 turnovers. I didn't want to start all over again so I used the 6"9 SF on my silver live account thinking I could transfer him over (no dice) but I'm averaging 35-10-7 in my first 3 D-league games. I think I'm going to get called up very soon.

Im now starting for the heat instead of chalmers...I played very good in my first start with 4pts 7rbs 13ast + A+

Im just wandering how or IF you are able to get drills in the nba??

I'm a 6'8 athetic small forward.

Averaging 19pts 5ast 5reb on 5minute quarters, i'm up for some crew games for sure

I'm a SG and I found that if you just get an A+ every game you will make it to the NBA. It was weird what happened, i got drafted by the Blazers and played for them in the Summer Circuit, then it said I was cut by the Blazers but also said I was good enough to choose which team I wanted to go to for training camp. Well, I chose the Cavs, but then for some reason I was still in the Blazers camp. So, I survived training camp with the Blazers and I have played like 6 or so games in the NBA. The strange thing is, when I go to look at the Rosters of every NBA team, it shows that I am on the Cavs, but when I play games I am on the Blazers. I think the game glitched or something.

So yeah, your stats actually don't matter that much, the only thing that really matters is your teammate grade. As long as you are getting at least an A every game, I think you are pretty much guaranteed to make it to the NBA pretty quickly.

This is true. Both on the A+ and the duplicating players

I read on Operation Sports, that its a glitch in the original game, and that you shouldtn choose a team when they give you the option too. Instead, when you are on the screen where you can pick a team, go back to the Xbox dashboard and then go back into the game, and you will start the Training Camp with the team that drafted you.

Otherwise you will have 2 copies of your created player in the league and then there would be no way of getting around it.

I have 3 saves on my HD for the same My Player in case that ever happens to me.

The my player features are really fun but definitely glitched. I am in the D-league and cannot check my teams stats (my team doesnt show up on the list of teams), I am leading the D league in steals but i do not show up in league leaders, and they always sub my tiny PG in as a SF.

I can accept the my player option in 2k10 as an unfinished product because it is new and not the main focus of the game. However, will be really mad if the same basic problems have not been corrected in 2k11.

Lazy 2k team needs to get it together esp. with the servers
