NBA 2K13

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I just entered my third season with the Hornets. My Player led them to a championship in year 2. I actually like playing on the Hornets but I'll be a free agent after this season and I'm really want to play for the Cavs but I'm a 6'4 scoring PG and they already have a Dion and CP3 starting with Kyrie off the bench.

Wtf, do we always sign CP3?

Now I'm 51 and 10 online. But cmon I haven't played that much really. My friend has literally played over double the games I have. And alot of people have played WAY more games. But I only play online quick matches. I bet most of you have played more than me, but on stupid stuff like MyPlayer, MyTeam, or just regular quick matches.

(Ok Ive played MyTeam some and its kind of fun).

That sucks man.

CP3, Dion, Me, Tristan, and Nene (with Kyrie as the 6th man) are running the league right now haha. When we hit the trade deadline I'm gonna request we trade for Dwight or Bynum (or other good center) so they trade CP3 and Kyrie can start again lol.

Yeah it's absolutely stupid. The NBA's 2x player of the month, 7x player of the week, leading scorer, leading rebounder at the SF position is coming off the bench and getting 20-25 minutes per game.

Ballhogs in blacktop are the worst thing ever. If they think they can win 1v3, then I let them play 1v3 and just put my controller down.

I run and stand in their way hoping my defender will double team and spam steal.then I run to half court and stand there.

I like 2K13 but the online community is simply terrible. In quick games 60%-70% of the time you play against cheesers who use OKC/Clippers/Heat and only steal spam on defense while throwing football passes on offense. Every single possesion is a fast break. All they do is turbo from one end of the court to another with LBJ/Westbrook/CP3/Rose or whoever their quickest player is. Also all of the scoring is in the paint. The last opponent I played didnt even attempt a single 3 point shot. Griffin went 16-19. CP3 made any lay-up even with my big man guarding the rim. I still won due to him not having a clue how to play defense. All he did was pressure the ball and try to steal spam. I have no problem with people using the best teams but the problem is that most arent trying to play basketball but only try to exploit the weaknesses of the game. Its simply not fun that way.

I've been using the Warriors pretty much exclusively online as I've gotten really good with their jumpers and they have a solid team with no real stars... not too easy but a fun team to play with. I have a general rule when I go into online matches... if the other player is about to chose the heat/Lakers, I always back out. I'll play OKC, I really don't find them to bad to play against. I don't understand why you have so much trouble playing the Clippers though. While I have noticed that a lot of people choose the Clippers (heck, I would say that's been half my games so far), I don't have any trouble beating them. Deandre Jordan and Blake Griffin have absolutely no range, so all you gotta do is pack it in and close out on the shooters and it's not that difficult to guard them. The main thing is preventing the fast break, which is simply playing smart offensive basketball.

Also, I personally love playing against guys who try to spam the steal button. I use to have trouble with it, but have to come to realize how easy it is to score against it. Especially if you have a sweet shooting PG (like Stephen Curry), you just gotta use the dribble stick to do a quick move around their steal attempts and pull up for an easy jumper. I had one game where I scored 38 points with Stephen Curry almost solely off of pull-ups from mid range and behind the arc because the other guy tried to guard me on the ball and it was easy pickings all game.

Started another association simmed the first season Kyrie got hurt like 15 games in, I traded Andy for expirers, and a pick in 2014 draft. So anyways needless to say we weren't a very good team, although Dion won ROY. So anyways fast forward to the lotto and you know what pick we get? #4 (Noels), another year simmed and we finished 9th in the East 12 in the lotto, and got the 3rd pick drafted Parker, and with the pick we got from Detroit 19th we drafted McGary.

Kyrie/Dion
Dion/Gee
Parker/Gee
Thompson/McGary
Noels/Zeller

The team is currently 10-4. Noels won ROY as well so we had three ROY's in a row. If reality happens like this (hopefully without the Kyrie injury) then we could be a dynasty.

That happened in my 2k12 my player

managed to get traded to cavs, first game kyrie goes down for rest of season with knee injury

Anyone else notice how predictable the missed shots are. It's fucking pathetic. There's only like 2-3 animations. This game is so predictable, when someone is taking it to the hoop, get a good defensive player in their proximity and they will miss the shot automatically. Even if you didn't directly contest the shot, the game logic causes the missed shot that so PREDICTABLY ROLLS OFF THE RIM.

Another thing that is pissing me the fuck off is when I get a steal and end up accidentally tapping X twice and get locked into the animation where you heave a full court shot. You used to be able to pass out of this situation, but it's very difficult to do so. I lose a good 2 possessions every game because of it.

Stop spamming the X button. Simple.

Did they update rosters to reflect the Harden trade as well as the after cut rosters?

I don't know about the after cuts, but the roster was updated to reflect the Harden trade. I didn't check the rosters though so I coulnd't tell you if they're 100% accurate now.
