NBA 2k9 Cash League - 360

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm in and paid.

As far as off the ball D goes....

I play on the ball when playing man. If i'm playing well and shutting you down i'll stick with it. But one of my defenses that I use regularly as a switch up is 2-3 defense. The only way to run an effective 2-3 D in 2k you have to play off the ball about 50% of the time. So is this going to be an issue? I think a lot of guys that complain about off ball D just aren't that good. It's easier to beat the computer than it is to beat a good human defender.

Thats 100% a good point and true. Its easier to ISO a cpu defender than it is another player who knows how to stay in front of u.

I think we'll have a vote on it by active members

Yes or NO, do away with the on the ball rule?

on ball rule is kinda lame imo, if you know what you're doing you should be able to get the ball to an open man. In the NBA if you have a superstar a good D team would be shading towards him and double teaming.

I also think the cut down on inbound steals and full court press is kinda lame. If you don't want the inbound stolen don't be stupid. And anyone silly enough to full court press you should be easy to beat. But that's just me.

We can throw out the on the ball rule.

My vote is YES

You havent played many games online have you???

The inbounds isnt a rule per say, but it is something that is stressed in ANY league you play in. Full court pressing and inbounds is easy to combat, but it just makes the game a track meet and no longer sim. Its the #1 cheese tactic

Try not to exploit it

Thats 2 in favor of throwing out the on ball rule.

Also, Malc has a rule from leagues he's been in that I forgot at the moment, but when I update the image that has the rules on it, Ill take the on-ball crap off and put his up

I agree, I don't really care for the on ball rule. Sometimes i like to leave the worst shooter and shade in the post sometimes. It doesn't really matter.

I cant play on the ball defence at all, so im in favour of dropping it.

I've played online games, not leagues. It seems pretty rampant online. I don't do it that much but I don't think it's a cheese tactic either. But whatev, I'll play by the rules.

w/ the PIP rule theres no way I win, so Ima drop my spot.. I play predominantly in the post..

There's no need to leave mate.

I play alot in the post however i'm practicing making mid-range jumpshots and running more plays.

This league is sim, and if you get like above 85% of your points in the paint that in my opinion is cheesing. You need to vary it, all of us could get the ball under the rim and score 2 everytime however that would ruin the fun of the game. I don't play online games anymore apart from this league as there are just to many cheesers who ruin the game.

It's not all about winning, it's about taking part and having fun with a good bunch of guys playing 2k9 the right way.

For me - I'm just happy to play with some great guys who play 2k9 the way I love to play it, as if it were real life.

No sweat Sam

Thanks for helping up finish up the last league

Colin's been really busy but tomorrow afternoon for sure he is accepting the invite.

Sounds good - It would be awesome if we had a draft order by tomorrow night.

Keep accepting the invites guys ! :D

Im in. How do I set up the payment and what time is the draft?
