NBA 2k9 League for RCF again

I caught on to what he was doing but couldnt do anything about it. He would intentionally foul to kill your momentum gaining and do whatever necessary to get his momentum going and once it was going, the Blazers became the T2000 to my Arnold Schwarzenagger.

One game they shot 76% fg and 60% 3.

Its partially my fault tho. I was reading the forums at 2k, and people were saying the best way to have a sim league was to add +20 to the Defensive Awareness and to the On Ball Defense. But they just dont account for the unrealistic boost to momentum for the veteran players who know to keep an eye on that and know how to use it.

Good playing 3. We all had the same playing field with even teams, and you found a way to get your dudes rolling like freight trains every game.

Ill do some heavier reading before setting the sliders next time

Chris brought in an outsider for one of the spots but he hasnt shown up yet. And Casualties is a RCF user who said he should be joining us very shortly like in the next day or so.

Im going to start another thread and get the slider talk going today

It was better than last season for sure, but there were still some glitches in the game that were taken advantage of. Overall though, it was pretty fun.

It let me get my league fix in. Im tired of taking everybodys money at the barbershop.:chuckles:

For those that dont know, we are doing a cash league with a $10 buy in via paypal. Me and Malc are going to do our homework on sliders for the next day or two and really come up with some that will promote playing the game the way it is in real life. Lee Mathews and London were two guys who were playing it pretty sim (well Lee until it was do or die time and he went Kobe vs the Raptors on us with Carmelo, your my boy tho Lee)

I do know that I dont want to play another all team-all star league. I mean, we had Tracy McGrady and Amare Stoudamire as reserves in this league. That sucked.

We have some new players stepping into the fold, my boy Triple A is a RCF vet who I played a bit with a few days ago. He's a legit guy, and Im still heavily trying to recruit some other guys who are viewing this thread regularly but shying away from getting in the mix.

So if you catch them on here peeking around, PM them to shit and try to get them involved

I guess lets try to aim for having our draft and getting started by either Thursday after the real draft or sometime Friday. What do you guys think?

If we get 12 guys, with a $10 buy in, then its $80 to the winner, $20 to second fiddle and $10 a piece to the other 2 final four teams.

If we end up only starting with 8 again, then it will be $40 to winner, $20 to backup and $10 to the other two playoff teams.

The doe is only to promote everybody finishing what we are starting, but I know from reading other cash leagues forums that when money comes into the equation, the tempers get shorter and there is less tolerance for cheesing and crap like that. So me and Malc are going to have a sleepover and stay up all night hammering out the few rules that will be heavily enforced. (I kid, Malc and 3 have been staying together for months so they'll handle it instead)

Look forward to starting up the new league with you ladies, had hellafun with this one.

if i say anything you have a problem with, don't take it personal....it's nothing i wouldn't say to my boy who i grew up with after just kicking his ass in 2k9 but i get the feeling that somehow people think i was playing the wrong way

my high scorer averaged 14 points a game
i didn't jack up 3's all game or league
early on i would put a little pressure on the point guard while he was walking up....i stopped after there was a complaint.

i play on ball defense like 98% of the time...i don't benefit from the hall of fame setting and the computers defense. i averaged the less "points in paint" other than gimbo, but that's just because he sucks. the less overall fast break points in the league. the less free throws in the league.

i shot a high percentage.....am i to blame for that? i move the ball around while most of you guys are running straight to the rim or throwing it down in the post looking to dunk it or lay it up.

do i need to play with 1 hand next time or what
