NBA 2k9 League for RCF again

Each of us had our own little quirks that we played with and beat to a drum.

I pointed out what your strength was, and you used it to a tee. By the time the playoffs started, you had a really good feel for how the game was adjusted and you knew how to build momentum off of your D.

If you took that as me calling you a cheeser, thats not on me. Im a pretty stand up cat and if I intend to say something I wont beat around the bush. There were no hard feelings last night after the finals, and there arent any now.

You earned the right to talk shit, but dont project on me what your thinking. The season is over, we're in here talking strengths and weaknesses and you taking shit personal like you created 2k.

Chillax man.

We need you for the next league, so get off the rag and enjoy ur win

Now if we can only get a few more players to commit, we might be able to get this party started before the draft or the same night.

Rchfld let's start a new thread and make this league even better in a few ways.

First, we can devise a way of making the league run faster and more efficiently by making people designate times that they will be free to play - the extended absences of players from RCF makes it extremely difficult to move things along if someone gets held up so we'd also urge people to participate in the league thread as often as possible.

Second, we can put people in charge of different things like your Round Updates and stuff to make this league even more fun and involved. I don't know, things like the Player of the Week and Neat-O-Stats™ :chuckles:

This league's gonna be even more kickass.
 
i was never mad or anything.....i mean what i wrote wasn't even that big of a deal....like i said... it was nothing personal, you the one that went all "oh know he didn't" on me and shit.

i know you weren't calling me a cheeser but i did know there was something that i did that you did have a problem with....in one of the regular season games on that little 2k rating thing you put down i used some type of exploits. so it's not like i came out the blue with this or something.

but i wasn't even tripping on that though....time went by....i got into with dude Dr.Shak and then samtheman...and then you made your post about the new league and you spoke on the whole cheesing thing.....so then i made my post, brought up a few things i had a problem with and looked at some facts....that's all....no biggie....didn't curse out nobody's mother....it's all good

Yea, there were a few occasions where guys PMed me about little things that they felt you were doing to exploiting the game. Sam wasnt one of them though, he just adjusted his game and played it like you do. Every time somebody said something about game exploits though, I said the same thing I said in my defense after I scored in the paint at will on Malc and he PMes me to call me out on it...

I messed up when I adjusted the sliders because I put them on something that was recommended to me, without me knowing what the gameplay would be like. I was out on bizness when the draft happened so i ended up with a bunch of cats who Id never played with before. Didnt excuse me being so reluctant to shoot, but I played the cards I was dealt.

Wasnt your fault that you were comfortable playing on the sliders and getting momentum. I commend you for it, not knocking you. But the way you went about it, in some ways, wasnt in the spirit of the game.

When I gave you that neg rep, (Im pretty sure it was before we had that talk about pressing) I did that after coming off a game where you were winning by single digits, and I got back to back turnovers which could have led to me having a fast break, but you intentionally fouled as soon as I got the steal or block, sometimes while your entire team was already back on defense. Then you were pressing like crazy.

Ive been around the block a little. Not with this gamertag but in the past, and I know what that does off a turnover, it kills the momentum that this game puts WAY too much emphasis on.

So, again, congrats on the win. And like I told you when we were chopping it up over the full court pressing, your a hell of a player and its fun playing in the league with you

No ill will. Ill get mine back in the next league

Alright cool let's put this crap behind us. Obviously people aren't going to like the way you play because you're good. If you were bad at your style of play we'd love it. :chuckles:

If you think someone is pissed at your style of play then it's just because they haven't figured out how to stop it yet. No matter how someone plays, if they're good at it everyone else will hate it.

I don't see any cheesing when I play you so you're cool by me. Let's put this to rest.

Oh yeah and a little off topic but, I forget who does it but someone would repeatedly intentionally foul you when you got out on the break...I fuckin hate that. :chuckles:

Seriously though, that is the most obnoxious thing ever and if I'm the only one who thinks so, then fine. But if a lot of people are in consensus maybe we frown upon that? I'm not talking like an isolated time. Someone uses it EVERY BREAK. Haha just while we're throwing stuff out there...not a big deal.

EDIT: I think Rchfld just addressed it too! Haha

its all good though. Like he said, each of us has somthing that we do til the cows come home. I admit, I was attacking the paint like a mofo, becuase Caron Butler couldnt shoot worth shit and nobody would take him in a trade:chuckles:

But like you said... Lets put it to rest

No hard feelings, we all had little things about each others game that we hated.

lets dead the issue and beat the shit out of each other again in a week or so

Same here, I suggest everyone gets used to that feature because it really eliminates game stoppage. Cool stuff.

I'm going to Practice mode to brush up later. WATCH OUT GUYS. :chuckles:

seriously man. Im not saying you were the cause for me to say I messd up on the sliders

your taking it all to the heart and its not meant to be that way

Nobody here is "the perfect" 2k player, or play the game "exactly" like the pros do

we played a few games outside the league and they were just some good spirited games that had a legit feel to them. The sliders werent adjusted so the way you play didnt come off as unrealistic or anything once you went on runs

the posts that you think I was blaming you, I was really taking blame for messing with sliders

its nothing, lets let it go. If it was something, Id have PMed you about it earlier.

im hoping i can get in this next league.. sorry i was on vacation the last week and couldn't finish the games.. but if you guys will have me, i'd like to go for it..

Of course we want you in the new league. You made a lot of progress from never playing to pulling off a couple of upsets before you left.

There will be a few rules that will be in place, that me we are going to hammer out and post once we have the league filled.
