Can I be the negative nancy and say great defense yes but a terrible offense in chicago and a over-rated offense in ATL might be the reason too or no?
For as much as the Cavs love to switch on screens, I don't understand why they don't switch on Korver instead of having a guy try to shred his way through 5 screens per possession.
I'm 100% confident we can beat GS. This team is locked in on defense. Memphis gave us a glimpse of what perimeter pressure can do to the splash brothers. A heavy does of JR, Shump, Delly and Lebron will slow them down. And all 3 of our guys can drain 3's and make plays. Memphis had the D but lacked the offense on the perimeter. Once Tony Allen pulled his hamstring and GS literally left him alone on offense, the series was over. Can't do that with our perimeter guys.

I dunno. They're playing Korver tight but they are giving Teague some wide damn open looks and he isn't making them. That seems to be the game plan. Let Teague shoot from 3 ( or at least sag off enough that he has an open look..he's been hesitant to take some of them)and see what happens. That, obviously, will not work too well against Golden State.
I definitely believe we can beat the Warriors. But they certainly have elements that concern me. One of them is actually Bogut. What he can do defensively in the middle presents an element that the Hawks don't have and that the Bulls don't have anymore.
What are the ways to adjust to and hopefully exploit Boguts defensive presence in the middle?
why would you want to change the way we're defending Korver? Tonight he scored 10 points in the first quarter and 2 the rest of the game. Who knows if he'll even be back after what happened to his ankle tongiht.
Well, I wouldn't count on the splash brothers being cold like Korver has been most of the playoffs. And I think we'll have to switch a lot in that match-up.

Can LeBron check Steph Curry?
Is Akron's prodigal son going to lose to Akron's second baby son?
Is the 4x MVP going to lose to the newly minted MVP?
I personally think the only way to stop Steph is to swarm him with ridiculous length and size. Curry is so good he could burn both Delly and Shump.
I'm not saying those guys wouldn't make his life difficult, absolutely they would, but Steph is just too good!
He'll shoot right over them, even if they're stuck to him like glue.
As an aside, both guys (Delly and Shump) have been D'ing up like they're glued to their man.
Delly has psychologically fucked up both Derrick Rose, and now Jeff Teague. Teague is a more consistent shooter, but Delly's defense is consistent! He stays down on all the bullshit fakes, doesn't try to swat shots. Iman is one of the best guards I have seen at stripping other players. Iman has very very quick hands, and both these guys are guarding with their feet (positioning) first! Which is most impressive to me.
So back to my original thought here. LeBron's length and size might be the only thing that can disrupt Steph Curry's shooting.
Bron, get your ankles broken 10 times, get your eyes dotted by Steph several times, get embarrassed. Swallow your pride, he's young he's bound to burn us a few times, but if you can make Steph a 18ppg scorer vs a 30ppg scorer you change the dynamics of this whole series!
Klay would then feel the pressure, but Iman will have been hardened for this very moment. I don't like Klay leading that team, he's not the same as Curry with the ball in his hands. If Kyrie is back, we can win the fucking championship. I said it. The kid was made for this. The dynamics of GS being the favorites is going to be the fuel that stokes our fire. Kyrie is like Kobe, he needs that type of slight to really get his competitive nature going.
Knowledgable posters, Chris Parker, is there any chance the Cavaliers resort to the strategy of having James guard Curry straight up? Would LeBron take that magnitude of defensive challenge? This is his golden moment after all, you keep the ace of spades for this very moment right?
