This team loves each other. This has to be the most likable Cleveland team in a LONG time... probably since the mid 90's tribe.

I thought we had no shot when Kyrie went down, I'll gladly eat crow. The combination of lebron and the chemistry this team has is amazing.

I still think we are underdogs to GSW unless kyrie is kyrie, but we always have a shot with the king.

Eh...

1st round was supposed to be 6 games because the Celtics are the 2nd best team after the AS break
2nd round was supposed to be the Cavs winning 2 games max because we lost an important piece
ECF was supposed to be either close or Cavs getting whipped by the "Spurs of the East"

Now in the Finals we're going to see the Cavs be lucky and get 1 or 2 wins out of it...

I'm just about done listening to Lakers, Celtics, Heat, Knicks, Raptors, and Bulls fans chiming shit every chance they got when they don't even have a stake in the game. Their actual investment in watching the Cavs is seeing LeBron fail. Even Warriors fans who watch their team all year don't believe this is going to be an easy series.
They are so deluded that they think they gonna shut down Lebron one on one and shut down the shooters as well
This Warriors team isnt the Spurs.....sorry....Im not scared of them...I respect their shooting...but they are beatable

$#!+. Charles Barkley just said he's picking Cleveland to win the ship.

We are no longer winning the ship.

He picked us to beat Atlanta...

This team plays tougher defense than any team has played at any point this whole season while also dominating on the offensive glass.

Before handing the Larry O'Brien to Golden State, let's see how they deal with a physical, defensively dominant team that includes the best player in the world

Every other time a Cleveland team got close, I always kind of expected something bad to happen.

Not this time.

The fuck are you talking about?

LeBron played Golden State only once this season... If you're going on opp stats from a single game, a game where James scored 42 points, in order to try and predict the outcome of a seven game Finals series; then frankly, you're out of your fucking mind.

I don't have time to give math lessons, let alone lessons in common sense.

Get fucking real.

His jumper was money that day. Then again Lebron with a jumper who is willing to post up is going kill any team.
You really think it's going to be that easy?...

And you think Iggy & Draymond Green have "no chance in hell" of making life difficult on the block for LeBron? What the fuck....

Idk, call me crazy but I don't see LeBron abusing Golden State's wing defenders in Green, Iggy, Thompson, and Barnes. I expect him to have a pretty good series but I don't see him manhandling that group.

Listen, I understand we're all partial to the Cavs here but come on now...for anyone to agree with the statement "Golden State has absolutely no one to guard LeBron" is ridiculous. Barnes (physically) matches up pretty well to LeBron. Thompson has developed into an elite perimeter defender this year, Green was runner up in DPOY voting this year and Iggy has made a career out of being an elite defender. GS has multiple guys they can throw @ LeBron.

I think it's more along of the lines who does Lebron traditionally have a hard time with(for him which still means he's going to play great)? Everytime I've seen guys like Butler and Leonard they make Lebron work for everything.

With the GS guys I've never really seen it. It's not just one game - Lebron has always owned AI. He's averaged 29 points on 52% FGP, 7 boards, 7 assists against him.

He doesn't have many head to heads with Barnes,Green and Thompson but just don't see it: Barnes doesn't have the agility to stay with James and neither Thompson or Green are close to the athletic caliber that Leonard and Butler are. Interesting thing with Lebron if he thinks he can beat you off the dribble he actually seems to shoot better (seen it last year when Diaw was on him and today with Millsap along with GS game from the regular season)

To phrase it another words I completely agree that GSW has very good collection of team defenders and probably the best overall in the league. The problem is I don't think they have one guy who is really elite in terms of guarding SF's (Green gets a lot of credit for his versatility). If you're facing Lebron, I'd ratherhave one Leonard or prime Marion (guys with size, length, and freakish athleticism) then a collection of very good defenders

I don't know about likeable. They are, but I think the better word is interesting. Not that we see a lot of contenders in this town, but so often the teams have zero personality. See: Indians/Browns of last decade.

Lots of personality on this team. JR Smith, Shumpert, Dellavedova, Mozgov, and the main man himself...LeBron James is one of the most oddly fascinating athletes I've ever watched play.

Love it.

So I guess this could still be a jinx thread- just gsw hou jinx

this is how i feel. the warriors are absolute a very legitimate challenge, but they are beatable.

its going to be interesting to see how they respond once the cavs defense roughs them up a bit

Cavs were the first team to finish off a 1st round series

Cavs were the first team to finish off a Conference Semis series

Cavs were the first team to finish off a Conference Finals series

Might as well be the first team to finish off an NBA Finals series.

They've not played an equal opponent yet. I think if you punch this team in the mouth, they might not respond the same too.

Memphis punched them in the mouth, they just didn't have the fire power to really do much to them. We can punch them in the mouth, and launch a nuclear attack in LeBron and Kyrie.

I think Golden State will rout tomorrow. And I'll be ok with that, because I want them to be seen as INVINCIBLE in the eyes of the press and have them beat that drum for the next week. Let the Cavs be seen and spoken of as definitive underdogs.

No respect and no chance will be the message our players hear.

Then we'll show them why you actually have to play the games.
