New IPHONE and New Prices

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Blackberry is ugly.

You know what? The Blackberry might not be SEXY because it doesn't have sexy black glossy plastic, or a shinny chrome rim around it, but it is not ugly by a long mile.

The only ugly "blackberry" is the 8700 and before. The 8800, 8300, 8100, 9000, and the 9500 are all nice looking phone. Good looking by the way....

True dat. But it is the best in functionality.

I think the iPhone works just fine functionally, the pop email is extremely easy to set up, text messaging looks and works just like iChat, The Calendar design and functions are self explanitory, iTunes in my pocket is effin' great, the 3 inch scratch proof screen kills any phone out there on the market, the interface icons are beautiful, the email is beautiful and it doesn't look like a generic text document like the Blackberry's does, and most of all the internet looks JUST LIKE the internet on a desktop.

I've seen the internet on a Blackberry and it looks un-nurtured. You can only see like a quarter of the page, and you have to scroll left, right, up and down a page and is very frustrating for an every day internet viewer.

If you like your Blackberry's fine, it's nice that you like it. But to call it a better phone than the iPhone is kinda iffy to me. There's a reason why the iPhone is so coveted and extremly hyped up to the general public... it's because it's a ****in' badass phone that makes mobile internet look like a complete joke. The slim design is second to none, everyone is jockin' the look. Everyone wants a piece of it, even other carriers. Take a look at that new Blackberry that James posted, It's a complete knockoff of Apple's design.

That's actually a fake pic

For whoever, mentioned the HTC's, I like them. I've had a few in the past. I swear I've had almost every smart phone known to man. I would always break mine and return it to sprint and get a new one for $35. They stopped doing it, I swear solely because of me.

The new HTC's are nice, better than their previous models. Still too big and bulky for me. I currently have a Blackberry Pearl, my favorite of all my phones and my first blackberry. I like it because it's small, the keypad it does everything I need.

One draw back for me would be the IPhone's touch screen typing. Another reason would be the large price tag and I would have to pay to get outta my current contract, when I can just get a new blackberry for $100.

Nice to see the new iphone come with 3g and lower prices though.

I have no use for the internet on a phone, just can't get with it, plus the data packages/pricing.

blackberry's a business man's phone, it's known for its productivity and flexibility.

Just got the new iPhone a few days ago... Just wondering if anyone who owns one has tried any of the jail breaks or anything like that.

had the iphone when it came out then got the new one. Then got the new moto q. Ill never go back to the iphone.

moto q is such a garbage phone..

but you don't need to jailbreak it. With all the applications and what not for it, there is really no use for it. What are you trying to do with the phone that you need to jailbreak it for?

I am getting the TMobile G1.

Anybody have any idea what it even is?

Like a sidekick, use primarily for internet. Heard the reviews weren't that good for it. Havent seen it myself though.

When I take a photo and send it to like a dozen people the iphone people never get them....people with all other kinds of phones do. It's just the iphone users. Anyone know why?

Nothing like a sidekick, besides that it opens up like one. And it does the internet better than the iPhone. And I don't know what reviews you have read, but they all have been extremely possitive...besides the iPhone fanboys. And it does pretty much everything the iPhone does, but more.

I swear, the G1 vs. iPhone is like the new Xbox vs. Playstation.

it does that because the iPhone does not do picture messages.

The iPhone also can't do cut n paste.

It trully is disturbing.

I think the real problem is that people prefer not to acknowledge that they're receving the panoramic shots you take of your toilet in the morning so as not to encourage you.

No pic messages? Why the hell not? My friends and I send pics all the time. I also need my salesmen to be able to send photos to me. That is a huge drawback.

I thought apple invented cut n paste...why would they not have that on their phone? Strange.

My office manager is in charge of selecting new phones for all my employees since I know little about them. She was telling me the Blackberry Curve was perfect for us. Now she wants me to wait another month for the Blackberry Storm. Anyone know of any reason I should or shouldn't wait for this thing? TIA.

Internet better than the Iphone? :chuckles:

There isn't a phone on the planet that has a browser that can match the interface that the iphone has, plus wi-fi is untouchable. Not a prayer.

And why would anybody need to cut and paste?

But no pic msg sucks, but email has it so it is no big deal.

Applications, internet, touch interface and browser make the iphone untouchable in the phone market. Numerous knockoffs have come and not one is close to being as good as the iphone.

So let's try to sum things up: first of all, the device itself is disappointing

as there seems to be a lot more negative news about it than positive news

The first of the user reviews are trickling in and it is not exactly a big thumbs up for the T-Mobile G1, the device based on Google's newly launched Android operating system.

The browser is more of a mixed bag. WebKit naturally looks great and renders accurately, but the lack of multi-touch makes jumping around the page a tad more laborious, and the actual scrolling seems slow and stuttery.

uhhh, the G1's browser is based of webkit. So is the iPhones. And just go watch a video of the G1 browser in action. Don't talk if you don't know what you are talking about.

The G1 has 3G and WiFi. Don't talk if you don't know what you are talking about.

Cut n Paste is useful for a million reasons. Especially if you are using it for business. Don't talk if you don't know what you are talking about.

Not everyone can do e-Mail from their phone. In fact, there is only 15 mil iPhones out there. There is over billions of other phones out there that can't do e-mail. Don't talk if you don't know what you are talking about.

The G1 has all that. MORE Apps. Just as good of a touch interface. Same, if not better browsing. It is not a knockoff. Its GOOGLE's baby. Don't talk if you don't know what you are talking about.

Please Mac. just go watch a vid of Android in action and you will see what I am talking about. Hey, I almost bought an iPhone 3G. but I held off, and now I am happy that I did.
