Charlotte should change their name to the Suck. The Charlotte Suck. Or the Charlotte Fetid Turds.
I feel like there is a trend to go with very simple plain looking uniforms now. Teams are afraid to be creative and push the envelope. They plaid it safe, when they could have gotten really creative with the "fly and bird concept" the font is okay I guess. I could have designed those unis in 8th grade though, just a lack of creativity all around.

Crazy how quickly they rebuilt after the Chris Paul situation...they're in such great shape for the future.
I would make an arguement that they're in bad shape for the future.
The Pelicans are now capped out. So unless they can unload that ugly contract of injury prone Eric Gordon; they are going nowhere. The team is a mess. They overpayed for a bricklayer in Tyreke Evans who has no set position, so essientially he is a super sub on a 4 yr 44 million dollar deal. I can't wait to see them throw Evans out there as a 3.
With how the Western Conference is stacked up, the Pelicans will be the Atlanta Hawks of the West. Being an average team in the NBA is the worst position to be. You are not a contender nor receiving a high draft pick at the end of the season. That to me is no mans land. The 76'ers realized this and unloaded and have set themselves up nicely for the future with a shot at the Wiggins sweepstakes.
I like Holiday and Davis, two brightspots, but I feel like they rushed the rebuild in risk of losing its fanbase. Had they not have given Evans that deal, I would've been fine. They also need to find a way to get rid of Eric Gordon, the guy just can't seem to stay healthy.

Even the Pelicans were too embarrassed to actually put "Pelicans" on the jersey. Are they the only team in the NBA with the city on the jersey for both the home and away jerseys? Idiots.

yeah absolutely horrible to actually load up with young talent along with semi experienced young talent and field a competitive team that can be overhauls in three seasons.
what a bunch of idiots. "rushing" a rebuild like that.
Committing $106.7 million to Gordon/Evans/Holiday over the next three years and an additional $22.98 million to Evans & Holiday in the 4th year for a grand total of $129.7 million until 2017 is crazy. Throwing out Gordon's health, Evans' psyche, and the fact that Holiday is most likely a stat stuffer on a bad team, I just don't think these three guards justify that kind of loot. You're talking about three high volume shooters and none of them finished in the top 20 in ppg last year.
Eric Gordon and Brandon Jennings were the only two players in the NBA last year to play in 40+ games and average over 15 ppg yet shoot less than 41% from the field. Holiday finished 2nd in turnovers and 10th in field goal attempts, but only 22nd in total points scored (26th in ppg). Evans surprisingly had his most efficient season yet, but there's no telling how he fits in with those two guards.
