Palin is just not VP material. The race will be close, because of Obama's race, but if it wasn't about race, there would be a clear winner already.

Nicky, no offense but your avatar doesn't make sense. Obama and Biden have the socialist platform straight out of the Communist Manifesto. Just curious what part of McCain Palin that you associate to communism.

She can see Russia from her house. I think that she was a horrible pick, and how the McCain supporters support her is beyond common knowledge. When asked what magazines she read to keep informed with the on going politics, she couldn't name NOT ONE.

How do you have faith/support for someone who is clearly in over her head. I have nothing against McCain except for his choice of a running mate, which I understand wasn't really his doing.

She's freaking horrible.

And I found that avatar on some other website and liked the way it looked.

But you Joe six packs go on and support her.... because you all get extra credit for doing so.

If we're going by experience, I'll take McCain over Obama in a landslide....experience for the #1 position is far more important to me than the #2.

I've accepted the fact that Obama is going to win. The media hype for the rockstar is just too much in my opinion for McCain to overcome. The public also thinks this recent meltdown is related to Bush policy which couldn't be further from the truth. Bush is to blame for the war, that said, McCain is paying the penalty.

I'll be fine if Obama wins, but my business will suffer when Northern Ohio Mfg takes a hit when the OEM's start pulling work in off the streets. Cuts in defense spending will also be a killer for Ohio manufacturers. A few of my employees will ultimately pay the price when I let them go from the decrease in business, increased taxes and health care costs. If he raises minimum wage, I'll fire even more employees....that's what people just dont get. I also won't spend as much money. I just don't see how Obama is better for our economy, every customer or small business owner I talked to is deathly affraid of him.
We're going to see a lot of "change" over the next 4 years, I don't think anyone's going to like it.

Max, don't give up hope for a McCain Palin victory in November. I agree that the Obama media hype is out of control, but I also think that is making Obama appear to be more popular than he actually is. Remember, Congress just fixed the Economy so that isn't an issue anymore :chuckles:

The right wing whining is pretty funny. You guys had complete control and this country is now a complete mess. Just like what happened in Ohio after 12 years of complete right wing Republican control.

Experience is great but if you cling to poor policies and philosophies and you continue to demonstrate questionable judgment then all the experience in the world doesn't matter.
I think middle class and working class Americans will very much like the necessary changes coming. Elitist, multimillionaire, priviledged, well connected Americans might not have things the same but I guess they'll just have to go without 9 homes and 13 cars.

I'm so sick and tired of the whining of a so called "liberal" media too. The mainstream media in this country is run by a small number of huge corporations most of whom are run by wealthy conservatives. Those in the position of power are the ones to be looked at. I guess it was that liberal media that went on and on about the non story of a Chicago minister but is currently ignoring the bizarre extremist religious experience and views of Palin, gave tons of free exposure to the disgusting Swift Boat liars before the 2004 election, served as cheerleaders rather than do their job by asking the necessary questions before Iraq mess and devoted thousands of hours of coverage to an infamous blow job that had zero effect on anyone's life.

Expirenced should be the only measure as the most expirienced president, Jhon quincy adams(was in the continental congress and vice president), was a horrible president

Qualified>Experience. Just because McInsaine is a POW doesn't make him qualified to be president. I don't know if Obama will change everything he's suggesting. But I will clearly side with him over McFlipFloptosavemypoliticalcareer. This dude has changed his stance on every single issue. He's sold out to the nutjob.

And he's not a Maverick. To quote Maureen Dowd, "True Mavericks don't brand themselves"

Now, McCain '00? You betcha! He should have been the republican nominee and i would have probably voted for him. Picking the president of the PTA was the nail in his coffin

I couldnt have said it any better

Obama will win since the America is not doing so hot right now and we are in need of a change.

Complete control? That's funny, I thought Americans gave Pelosi and friends Congress because they promised change in 2006. How have they done the last 2 years?

Just like what happened in Ohio after 12 years of complete right wing Republican control.

:chuckles: That's just silly. Ohio has struggled way more than any other state in the union the last 12 years....companies are sprinting for other states. Does that mean Bush and Republicans are anti-Ohio? No that means our local officials are the problem. Ohio is collapsing for several reasons - 1) 9/11 and 2) Northern Ohio politicians have given no incentives to keep or attract companies, and 3) most importantly the Dems and Unions wont let Ohio be a Right to Work state. None of these are Republican caused problems....Northern Ohio, especially Cleveland, is in the stranglehold of the Dems. Ask the 100's of companies that have left for other states in recent years if it has anything to do with 12 years of Republican control....they'll laugh at you.

What's with the class warfare? I don't understand why you are so bitter towards the wealthy. You make it sounds like they should apologize. Elitist, well priveleged, connected? That's like saying all the poor are criminals, drug addicts and lazy.
Look, if the billionaires didn't buy the 9 homes and 13 cars they'd still be billionaires. The person who suffers when you gouge the wealthy is the machinist building the cars he buys and the tradesmen that would've built those homes.
The top 25% pay 85% of fed income taxes. The bottom 50% pay 3% of fed income taxes.

I'm so sick and tired of the whining of a so called "liberal" media too.

For every FOX you show me I'll show you 10 networks that lean the other way. For every Swift Boat story I'll show you 50 hit pieces going the other way. You may be one of the few people in the country that doesn't think the media leans to the left. I thought this was the one topic both Dems and Reps agreed on...

Compared to six years of COMPLETE Republican control (remember who's still in the white house).

Not Bush and the Republicans, Taft and his his cronies ignoring HUGE problems within the state causing us to slide into oblivion.

I understand the network thing, though Fox has the highest ratings and I don't think anything besides MSNBC is on that level of bias. But also radio is dominated by conservatives, and there are lots of crap stories on both sides. I don't think it's a larger margin when it comes to Dems against Reps.

I know some people want to think we want Obama because he's a rockstar, but he's winning now because of mistakes McCain and Palin made, while Obama and Biden have done well. I don't think Obama or Biden exceeded expectations in campaigning or debating. But between Palin's interview, two losses in debates from most polls, and a very negative ad campaign, McCain is going in the pooper.

13 votes for McCain? How many RCF accounts does Wolfman have? :chuckles:
