I kind of think the cast is pretty damn good. Catwoman girl isn't that great. The guy who plays Gordon tries a little too hard to be "dark/hard cop". But other than that, I think the "overacting" is good by the kid who plays Joker, I like the Riddler actor, really like Penguin, of course Harvey is great. Gordon's ex is hot as shit.

Greatest plot in the world? No. But it keeps me entertained enough to kill 45min when I have nothing else on my DVR.

The kid who plays the (probable) Joker is fine, but the fact that the Joker is in there at all shows that the showrunners have a fundamental misunderstanding of Batman. The Joker can not exist without Batman. Hell, one possible origin for the Joker has Batman creating him.

I roomed with that actor in college, good actor and good guy. He's finally starting to get more roles too.
 
I plan to try Gotham again. I gave up on it as a week to week show but with it on Netflix maybe I'll get into it more.

As said before a show with Batman and villains as adults would be better even if Batman is just in the background.

Also I just watched the Knick season 1. Now one of my favorite shows.
 
Watching Oz...

Is there a point where the show falls off (like Dexter, for instance) ?

I'm halfway through Season 3 and am beginning to lose interest. May stop watching unless I'm told later seasons are good.

I thought it was pretty great throughout, but it really is a tough show to watch so I can understand if it's not for everyone.
 
Just watched the first episode of True Detective season 2. Love it so far.

I watched the first couple episodes last night. I'm enjoying it so far. Kind of corny to introduce all the characters in the first episode but whatever. It might have helped to save some surprises for later in that regard.
 
Just finished bloodline and thought it was fantastic. Probably one of the better netflix original series. Didn't see the ending coming and I'm surprised what happened.
