New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re-watched season 1 of Lost. I know that the show gets weird towards the end, but that first season was damn good tv.
I'm tying to watch it because lindeloff is the writer and just put out one of the best seasons in TV history but lost is awful so far.

Idk if it's Bc TV was not what it is today but this shit is not believable, acting is awful, everything from the story to delivery of lines to character development is rushed as fuck

@The Oi

Just got thru 6-part series called The Jinx (HBO). It's about Robert Durst, who allegedly murdered his first wife, best friend, and some rando in Galveston Texas. Prob already mentioned in this thread but if not, it's fantastic. Just watch the trailer. It's interview/biography type style and I don't want to blow the ending but it's unbelievable.

Good, God. Fargo was great this season (again).

Continuing my tradition of watching bastard shows that nobody talks about; the lady and I started watching da vinci's Demons a week ago, and we are already on season 3.

Luther is back on the BBC with a bang. Only 2 hours long but it has ygritte from GOT in it and idris elber

idk, its a pretty simple show.

its a fun watch, and rewatchable, but I think its a little overrated.

bad, bad season finale. i thnk that happened with season 1 too.

That's because they go the Game of Thrones or Wire route where each season is like a novel. The action peaks in the ninth episode and the final one deals with the fallout.

a one-of, tv movie special isn't exactly "back." sadly...

luther is one of the most criminally underrated shows (err, miniseries') of the past decade. it did fall off from s1 but it still would've been nice for them to continue having mini-seasons even if they were only 4eps like s2&3. damn british shows need to be more lucrative so the leads don't keep getting pulled away by movie offers :(

Am I the only one who is really surprised that Survivor has been on for 31 seasons, now going on 32?

Regardless, the season finale for it tonight was probably the best one.

^ Never watched Survivor religiously, but watched this season. Its on the DVR and we haven't watched yet (we watch everything via DVR, as life is just too busy).

We don't watch many of the dramas discussed in this thread, but winter provides the time to do marathons on a random boring weekend day. We typically watch reality-type shows that are on Discovery, History or MTV. Enjoy Gold Mine a bit. There is a seasonal show on History called "Christmas through the Decades" - 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s have played so far - interesting and nostalgic for sure. Can't wait for Deadliest Catch and Walking Dead to start again - also like Fast n Loud and Naked & Afraid. Watched some odd shows like Dating Naked and Party Down South. Trying to get through AMerican Horror Story, but it has fallen out of favor with us a bit. Watch those House Hunters type shows as well - and Hawaii Life sometimes too. Topical cause our house is on the market and are slowly into the process of looking at a new home.

That's it...back to the regular drama show discussion.

Never really watched Survivor religiously either....only really got into it this season. Deadliest Catch is a pretty good show too.

Completely agree on AHS. This season is just weird. Not entertaining, really.

The younger kid who plays the dead owner of the hotel is good, as he usually is. Sarah Paulson's plays her character well, but it bothers the shit out of me she always has tears on her face. Wipe them the hell off, damnit. Kathy Bates (old hotel front desk woman) is good. Lady Gaga is bearable. She has some good acting scenes but other times just can't get over her dumb blank face.

Last episode ran real slow, for me. I pretty much fast forwarded to see if Lady Gaga was going to get hyper-fucked by that leather mask, drill-dick dude. I will continue watching it just because I am already so committed, but holy shit. This may be the last season for me ever if they don't start piecing all of the seasons together, and quick.

Ahs is garbage.

They're attempting to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Hence gaga, and it turning into a shitty MTV "who's fucking who" show.

Don't care about any of these characters. The detective is awful. I don't know how supplementary actors do scenes with him after reducing his character to a ridiculous one dimension, which is "speak gravelly".

Anything he says is the same tone. "Gtrr that's my son!" "Grrr I have to take shit!"

I know I'm behind the eight ball on this one...

Narcos is fucking excellent. I decided to try to watch an episode today, 6 hours later I finished the first season. I don't think there was a single episode that didn't have me glued to the TV.
