New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Fargo Season 2 - 9/10

Really good show. Good acting, good storytelling, and a really colorful world. Only thing bad I can say about it is that I wished it was as funny as last year.

The Leftovers Season 2 - 9.5/10

Such a beautifully haunting show. Truly amazing performances that make you feel devastated for the characters. Can't say enough about the cinematography and scoring either. This really is a more refined version of Lost. My only complaint was that the finale felt a bit bloated. I'm really glad this show is being allowed to end on its own terms.

So is anybody going to review The Expanse or is it up to me? You scify people are getting lazier by the hour !!!

Anyone see Netflix's "Making a Murderer" yet? I'm a fan of the podcast "Serial," and have heard "Making a Murderer" is the TV version, to a certain extent.

Also, as a personal recommendation, I have to encourage everyone to see "Mr. Robot." For my money, it's the best thing I've seen on TV since "Breaking Bad."

The Expanse (4 episodes in)

PLOT: From what I gather Humans have colonized Earth, Mars and the Asteroid belt too. There is a lot of tension between Earth and Mars and the conditions are ripe for a war. Water is a scarce resource and so are other minerals. Humans have colonized the Asteroid belt too and they mine the belt for minerals for Earth and Mars. 'Belters' are the people who work in the belt with Cerces being the biggest city (Isn't there an Asteroid by that name too ?)

Thomas Jane is a detective there in Cerces and he is tasked with investigating the case of a rich girl who went missing. Meanwhile a spaceship carrying water to the Belter's from Jupiters moon is destroyed and only a few people escape that blast. The spaceship was destroyed by an UFO. Earth thinks it might be Mars and that Mars is planning an attack on earth. Mars meanwhile is not sure who destroyed the spaceship and think the OPA (a terrorist group) destroyed it. What is worrying both planets apart from the conditions for war is that the UFO that destroyed the spaceship has superior technology to the one they possess.

My POV: I really like it so far. This is not your regular run of the mill story with cheap graphics and poor set. The graphics in this are very decent - comparable to Stargate, Battlestar Galactica etc - not the corny graphics that scream "CHEAP" in your face. The settings are good and well made. The direction feel is a bit convoluted so far, But that could just be me too. The pacing is good - it never gets too slow even though not much happens. I think this maybe a good thing for SciFy and I feel like with this show they have something that will make them respected in the scify world. Oh, And this is PG 13 so your kids can watch this too.

Anyone watch Black Mirror? It's really good. Watched a few ep's last night.

How to make a murderer on Netflix...

Ten hours and I've watched all ten episodes twice since yesterday.

Fucking rage inducing.
About to start watching this with my cousin.

Can't wait.

Just started The Jinx on HBO, pretty good

I couldn't recommend a show any more than making a murderer. I feel like its a civic duty.

The Jinx compared to Making of a Murderer is a clear example of what it means to be wealthy in the criminal justice system and to be poor.

TMOAM is probably the most depressing thing I've seen in awhile.

I don't think I've ever wanted to see someone get fucked over more than this Colburn guy. It's blatantly obvious he planted evidence. He even acts guilty on the stand. He's clearly terrified when the defense attorney starts calling him out on it.

Kratz is the worst. Easily.

But there's a myriad of shitbags you get to meet.

No one gets fucked as bad as the DNA chick, but colburn is second. Brendan's lawyer is up there too, along with the cops that got his confession

His first lawyer? I fucking hated that guy. It was obvious he was more concerned with screwing over Steven than helping his client. The second lawyer isn't the most competent guy but he seems like he at least gives a shit. I'm midway through episode nine right now. This shit was addictive.
