North/South Korea reach agreement (North Korea threatens United States pg. 5)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
How exactly would that happen? And who would be the ones "wiping NK off the face of the Earth" in two hours?

Because a nuclear attack on NK would result in significant fallout over China, South Korea, and Japan.

ETA: plus, the fact that NK now has nukes essentially takes actual conquest of the country off the table anyway. Best hope is that an unsuccessful NK attack would lead to internal instability and a coup.

You took my statement too literal. What I was saying was NK has no staying power in any kind of military battle. The only thing they have is quick strike potential that eventually leads to them being crushed militarily once they blow their load.

Okay, well, sorry. I didn't know how to take what you said other than how you said it.

I think you're correct about the lack of staying power, but them having nukes really complicates things. Despite having mostly antiquated equipment, the sheer volume of artillery alone could kill a shitload of ROK citizens. And exactly what do the ROK's, US, etc. do if that happens? Sure, you shoot back until the Norks stop shooting, but can you really drive on Pyongyang, or engage in significant punitive strikes now that they have nukes?

South Korea sucks. They literally just hide behind America's leg anytime North Korea threatens.

It's funny how the entire world walks on eggshells because of the U.S.

We're the John Cena of military. The face that runs the place
You mean figuratively, yes? I'm not aware of the United states having a leg and the entire county of south Korea having the ability to mobilize and hide behind it.

Bill's obviously been hitting the pipe pretty heavily again....

Honestly, nobody remotely familiar with the ROK military would agree with this. Try reading about the performance of the ROK troops in Vietnam.

Stannis can probably comment on his experience as well, but the ROK Marine officers with whom I had contact were absolutely first-rate professionals, and the ROK Marines themselves were tough as nails.

They send officers to the Armor School. Very professional and high-speed. They know their shit. ROK troops are tough as iron. Seen their units train. They don't pussyfoot about feelings nor do they tolerate weakness from their troops. If a subordinate fucks up or is screwing off they will beat the shit out of him to straighten him out.

Question for those that follow North Korea more closely, who is next in line should Kim succumb to his health issues?

They threaten us every year when we do these exercises. This is one of the join exercises I got to participate in while I was in. We also do one in Thailand called Cobra gold. The one in Korea is now called Foal Eagle, since 1997, when i was there it was called Team Spirit.

Lol, nothing is funnier to me than people freaking out about whatever North Korea's latest threat is.

Whenever the next election is held following his death

Probably his half-brother...pretty sure his actual brother is in London or something.
