I've been on the optimistic side, and if you need proof, look at my post in the Jim Thome thread from a couple of days ago. We need Jeanmar to step up. We need to get Grady back, and we definitely need to get Kipnis back. In order to do this, we don't really need to beat Oakland, Texas, Kansas City, Minnesota, or Seattle. We NEED to 2/3 or sweep the Tigers and White Sox. We need to win most of the games. Like I said, if we are 5.5 or less games back the first week of September (when Grady is supposedly back) we have treaded the waters and will be in good shape.
